PrimeTech Launches Innovative Wall Framing Technology
PrimeTech marks its entrance into the construction industry by unveiling groundbreaking AI-driven wall framing solutions. Originally established as the strategic successor to BamCore, the company specializes in utilizing the patented and acclaimed PrimeWall framing technology. This initiative is set to reshape the landscape of residential construction by improving efficiency while addressing the industry's prevalent challenges of labor shortages and lengthy construction times.
A New Era in Construction
In today’s fast-paced building market, PrimeTech is acknowledging the need for innovation. The company's unique approach combines advanced fabrication techniques with sustainable practices, aiming to lower labor dependability and streamline workflows. With plans to collaborate with Lewis and Clark Industrial (LCI), PrimeTech's mission is clear: create a seamless manufacturing process that can cater to the rising demands of the residential sector across North America.
Streamlined Fabrication Process
PrimeTech is introducing a distributed fabrication strategy reliant on compact, highly automated CNC lines. This entails employing a unique method of integrating printed-on-panel mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and insulation (MEPI) instructions with the actual wall panels. Historically, a staggering 98% of wall assembly is executed on-site, making it labor-intensive and time-consuming. Conversely, the new strategy enables off-site wall fabrication that can run parallel to existing truss manufacturing lines, thus significantly reducing logistical hurdles and making it easier for builders to adopt.
“Earlier models of PrimeWall demonstrated that implementing low-carbon, panelized framing systems could greatly cut down the need for skilled labor and expedite construction timelines,” shared Hal Hinkle, PrimeTech’s CEO. “Our goal with PrimeTech is focused on maximizing logistics while further enhancing efficiency across all construction cycles.”
A Vision for the Future
With LCI’s involvement, the first two fabrication centers will begin operations soon. Known for its advanced machinery and engineering expertise, LCI has been instrumental in honing the technology behind the PrimeWall system. Its President, Tom Scott, expressed excitement about this partnership, highlighting the advantages of closer-to-site manufacturing, which promises to reduce both shipping expenses and delivery timelines.
Prominent industry figures are stepping into key leadership roles at PrimeTech, including David Gensler, the former co-CEO of architecture giant Gensler, who will chair the board. Bringing both design efficiency and comprehensive digital workflows to the table, Gensler stresses that improving the design process through automation can substantially benefit the residential market.
“Walls are the operating system of construction processes, impacting all trades involved in building,” noted Mike Farmer, PrimeTech’s Vice-Chair. “Reducing complexity during the design-to-construction phase is critical to improving productivity. The PrimeWall system can achieve the framing of a production home within approximately two hours, revolutionizing the way builders think about time and labor.”
Introducing Prime24+: The Future of Framing
As part of its initial offerings, PrimeTech will launch the latest generation of its PrimeWall technology known as “Prime24+.” This new product is engineered for enhanced performance in speed and efficiency, capable of withstanding harsh building conditions while ensuring exceptional indoor climate control.
Key Features:
- - Enhanced Structural Capacity: Suitable for buildings up to five stories high.
- - Durability: Designed to meet stringent needs, including hurricane resistance, paving the way for opportunities in mid-rise construction.
- - AI-Driven Optimization: Significantly reduces design labor costs and capitalizes on potential building efficiency improvements, showcasing a refined approach to construction.
Capital-Efficient Manufacturing Model
Moving forward, PrimeTech aims for a capital-efficient model that requires minimal space for manufacturing while maintaining high output. Each fabrication line will operate effectively in approximately 10,000 square feet, entailing a modest initial investment. This methodology not only aids in rapid scalability but also ensures integration within existing construction networks, thereby eliminating the traditional pitfalls associated with prefabricated constructions.
PrimeTech is positioning itself at the forefront of modern construction solutions, and its commitment to sustainable and efficient practices promises to usher in a new era for builders and residential projects alike. For detailed information, visit
