HiTHIUM Introduces Game-Changing Innovations
On December 12, 2025, HiTHIUM hosted its third Eco-Day event, themed "The Awakening of Energy • The New World," in Xiamen, China, showcasing critical advancements in long-duration energy storage (LDES). The event attracted industry experts, leading representatives from the AI Data Center sector, and partners from across the global energy landscape. This gathering emphasized the importance of LDES in overcoming the challenges of renewable energy volatility and ensuring a consistent green power supply.
Empowering the Future of Energy
During his opening speech, HiTHIUM's co-founder and CEO, Jason Wang, highlighted how energy storage, specifically LDES, remains central to transforming green energy from being dependent on weather conditions to a stable and easily accessible resource. To drive this vision forward, HiTHIUM unveiled the ambitious five-year "All-Weather Green Power • 135 Lighthouse Plan." This initiative focuses on LDES and aims to create a world where green energy is always available through three core pillars: intelligent computing, comprehensive storage solutions, and green power supply centers.
Industry experts participated in lively discussions during the event, providing insights into global trends, applications, and technology pathways related to LDES. Notably, Senior Analyst Alex Cipolla from Wood Mackenzie shared his analysis of LDES, while Zhihua Liu from Eaton Power Shanghai showcased innovations in high-voltage DC technology and smart energy distribution.
Introducing Three Groundbreaking Technologies
The highlight of Eco-Day was the launch of three groundbreaking technologies:
1.
∞Power8 – This marks the world's first 8-hour LDES solution with specifications of 6.9 MW and 55.2 MWh, designed for smoothing renewable energy supply, facilitating time-shifting, and ensuring steady delivery of clean energy, regardless of the weather.
2.
∞Cell 1300Ah – This dedicated 8-hour cell is a next-generation high-capacity solution designed to deliver deep 8-hour cycles, a lifespan exceeding 20 years, enhanced safety features, and significantly lower Levelized Cost of Energy (LCOE).
3.
∞Power Solutions for AI Data Centers – This pioneering lithium-sodium solution integrates long-duration lithium storage with high-performance sodium-ion batteries, ensuring rapid response times in milliseconds and meeting the dual demand for long-term stability and immediate energy support from AI Data Centers.
Addressing AI Data Center Energy Needs
A significant focus of Eco-Day was the energy challenges faced by AI Data Centers (AIDCs). Under Dr. Nazar Yi's leadership, the panel discussed whether LDES could be the "missing piece" critical to achieving CO₂-neutral AIDCs. Participants acknowledged the growing tension between the rapidly increasing computational needs and limited energy supplies, and emphasized that lithium-based LDES is a key approach to enhance stability, reduce costs, and facilitate scalable growth.
Moreover, the event featured the introduction of the "China AIDC Energy Storage Bluebook 2025," co-published by HiTHIUM and leading industry organizations. This pivotal report outlines energy consumption trends for AIDCs, changing battery storage system requirements, and the rising significance of LDES in addressing energy limitations, providing detailed analyses from industry demand to deployment strategies.
Accelerating AI Energy Integration
In his closing remarks, HiTHIUM's founder and president, Jeff Wu, stressed the necessity for energy storage solutions to match both lifespan and cost-efficiency with wind and solar energy. To achieve this ambitious goal, HiTHIUM has identified four strategic priorities: developing ultra-large, high-safety, and long-lifespan cells; building secure, integrated, and efficient systems; promoting intelligent manufacturing; and providing fully integrated energy storage solutions.
This Eco-Day event serves as a testament to HiTHIUM's rapid ascent in the energy storage sector, where it now ranks second globally in battery supply. Looking forward, the company aims to expand its technology portfolio, strengthen partnership networks, and contribute significantly to the global clean energy transition while shaping the future of energy storage in the AI era.
