AtCoder Junior League 2024 Winter Winners Announced
AtCoder Co., Ltd., headquartered in Shinjuku, Tokyo, has announced the winners of the
AtCoder Junior League 2024 Winter, a competitive programming event for middle and high school students across Japan. This league aims to foster interest in competitive programming among students while promoting collaboration and exchange among participants.
What is the AtCoder Junior League?
The AtCoder Junior League is designed as a league competition for junior high and high school students. The contest is divided into two main categories: the Algorithm Division and the Heuristic Division. The Algorithm Division evaluates participants based on their performance in AtCoder Beginner Contest (ABC), AtCoder Regular Contest (ARC), and AtCoder Grand Contest (AGC). Conversely, the Heuristic Division assesses contestants based on their performance in the AtCoder Heuristic Contest (AHC).
This winter's league took place from October 2024 to March 2025, engaging a total of
686 students: 494 in the Algorithm Division (114 middle schoolers from 56 schools and 380 high schoolers from 135 schools) and 192 in the Heuristic Division (53 middle schoolers from 25 schools and 139 high schoolers from 71 schools).
Prizes, certificates, and commemorative goods were awarded to the top contenders, with the top 20 teams and individuals recognized in both divisions. The initiative intends to introduce the joy and excitement of competitive programming to junior high and high school students nationwide, cultivating an environment similar to club activities where participants can share insights and inspire one another.
