The Ugly Sweater Party has become a beloved annual tradition in the United States, and it’s about time Japan joined in on the fun! Since its first event in 2019, this party ventures to make ‘ugly’ the new fabulous, showcasing that some of the most ridiculous fashion statements can bring people together in joyful celebration. So, dig through your closet and pull out the sweaters that people just can’t resist laughing at!

What to Expect

Dress Code: Every attendee must wear their own ugliest sweater! Expect a delightful array of vibrant knitwear that will make the evening an Instagram-worthy spectacle. The winner of our Ugly Sweater Contest will not only gain bragging rights but also walk away with a surprising cash prize of ¥50,000!

Snap a picture in your favorite ugly sweater, post it on X or Instagram with the hashtag #UglySweaterParty, and a chance to win the ‘Ugliest Likes Award’, which comes with a ¥30,000 cash prize for the most hideous submissions!
