Amrop Appoints New Chairman and Board Members
In a significant shift within its leadership structure, the Amrop Partnership, a global frontrunner in executive search and leadership advisory services, has announced the appointment of Fredy Hausammann as its new Chairman effective May 29, 2026. This strategic move is part of a broader initiative to strengthen the organization’s governance model and leadership team, ensuring it meets the dynamic needs of its global clientele.
Fredy Hausammann, who has been with Amrop since 1998 and previously served as the managing partner of Amrop Switzerland, brings a wealth of experience to his new position. His previous roles included Chairman of the Nominating Governance Committee and Global Practice Leader for Financial Services, lending him a comprehensive understanding of the intricacies of leadership in various sectors. Hausammann's expertise is underscored by his professional background in financial services, which has roots in both Zurich and London.
Joining Hausammann on the Global Board are Mansour Abdulghaffar, the managing partner from Amrop Saudi Arabia, and Elin Wrammerfors, a partner based in Sweden. These appointments are aimed at enhancing the global perspective within the governance framework, reflecting the diverse markets Amrop operates in.
The board elections also saw Bo Ekelund from Sweden being appointed to the Membership Committee. Meanwhile, Kelly Freeman from Canada has officially begun her role on the Nominating and Governance Committee, further injecting innovative ideas into the governance structure that Amrop prides itself on.
Amrop emphasizes that these appointments represent the strength of its governance model, honed through decades of consulting with leadership teams and boards around the world. The organization has developed a governance approach that is directly informed by its extensive consulting experience, ensuring that its internal practices align with the high standards it expects from its clients.
Recognizing the contributions of outgoing members, Fredy Hausammann expressed gratitude towards his predecessor, Annika Farin, who served two terms as Chair, as well as to departing board members Oana Ciornei from Romania and Mikael Norr from Sweden, along with Maria da Gloria Ribeiro of Portugal from the Nominating and Governance Committee.
"I am honored to take on this role in a company whose strength lies in its people, values, and culture of partnership. My aim is to honor this DNA while guiding Amrop towards a future filled with confidence, relevance, and ambition," stated Hausammann in response to his new appointment.
