Buffalo Inc., headquartered in Chiyoda, Tokyo, has announced an updated version of its free app, Photo Backup, designed for iOS and iPadOS. This application allows users to backup their iPhone and iPad photos and videos effortlessly to external storage. Enhanced Thumbnail Loading Speeds

Previously, when loading about 10,000 thumbnails, users would face a wait time of approximately 12 seconds. However, thanks to the recent updates, this duration has drastically reduced to about 1 second. Backup Reminder Functionality

Another notable feature introduced in this update is the backup reminder functionality. The app will now notify users if it has been seven days since the last backup, ensuring that users do not overlook their data security. In addition to this, the app now enables functionality for scaling and zooming in on photos in full-screen mode, enhancing the overall interaction with the app. Users can also view a list of registered USB storage devices while waiting for storage connection, making it easier to manage their backups.

The Photo Backup app is designed to connect seamlessly through the USB-C port of the iPhone. The application is exclusively available for iOS and is not compatible with Android devices.
