Tokyo's Initiative for Accessible Tourism
Tokyo is taking significant steps toward promoting accessible tourism, making the city a more inviting place for individuals with disabilities and elderly travelers. With the aim of supporting the development of travel products accommodating these groups, the Tokyo Metropolitan Government is organizing a free seminar focused on training personnel in the tourism sector.
The seminar, open to travel agents and guides, is designed to improve service skills while enhancing the travel experience for those requiring special assistance. Participants will learn about creating inclusive travel itineraries and providing essential support services in a variety of real-world settings.
Seminar Overview
The seminar is divided into two main tracks: one for itinerary planners and another for tour guides. Each track consists of targeted sessions that will equip attendees with necessary knowledge and practical skills.
Itinerary Planners Track
Participants: Those involved in creating travel products and travel arrangements.
