ISFnet's Nationwide 'Kikaikai' Event
In an effort to foster employee engagement and improve working conditions, ISFnet, a leading IT infrastructure company headquartered in Minato, Tokyo, held its latest 'Kikaikai' event, designed specifically for its IT infrastructure engineers. This initiative reinforces the company's commitment to creating a motivated workforce while addressing the evolving needs of its employees.
CEO's Nationwide Tour
Held in December, the event included visits to the Fukuoka, Hiroshima, and Shizuoka branches by ISFnet's CEO, Yukiyoshi Watanabe. The 'Kikaikai' events occur monthly across various branches, but every three months, the CEO personally visits to share insights on company policies and strategies. These sessions aim to create a direct line of communication between top management and technical staff, ensuring that employees feel valued and included in the company's future plans.
During the recent meetings, CEO Watanabe presented an overview of the five-year plan set to be implemented by 2030. He provided a candid assessment of the current state of the company, along with details of ongoing projects and performance expectations. Furthermore, he spotlighted several engineers recognized for their excellent performance during client engagements, fostering a culture where achievements are celebrated and encouraged.
Fostering IT Engineer Growth
With a rising number of mid-to-senior level engineers within its ranks, ISFnet is focusing on enhancing its skill-sharing initiatives. The growth of junior engineers learning from their more experienced colleagues is a top priority, as it strives to cultivate an environment conducive to professional development. This reciprocal system not only helps junior engineers acquire vital skills but also benefits seasoned professionals by enhancing mentorship opportunities.
Starting in 2025, ISFnet plans to implement a biannual evaluation system that allows engineers to advance their ranks more rapidly than before, adapting to the challenging economic climate marked by rising living costs. This new framework ensures that employees who put in effort are recognized and rewarded, reinforcing a performance culture that motivates staff to excel. Additionally, new evaluation metrics will include client feedback and pricing adjustments to create a fair and meritocratic atmosphere for the engineers on the ground.
Looking Ahead
ISFnet is dedicated to providing a workplace where every employee can take pride in their contributions and work in a safe, secure, and stable environment. By continually offering opportunities for skill enhancement, ISFnet aims to become the top training ground for IT infrastructure engineers in Japan, thereby generating a pool of professional talent that supports societal infrastructure.
