A Taste of Korea at Shabu-Shabu On-Yasai This Summer
Starting from July 15, 2026, Shabu-Shabu On-Yasai, operated by Reins International, will host a limited-time Korean Fair that promises a delightful culinary journey reminiscent of a high-quality trip to Korea. This event will showcase two signature Korean hot pots: the "Haemul Jjigae" (Seafood Stew) and the "Gomtang" (Beef Bone Soup), along with an array of traditional Korean side dishes known as "banchan."
What is Banchan?
Banchan (반찬) refers to a variety of small side dishes served along with the main course in Korean cuisine. These dishes allow diners to savor a little bit of everything, enriching their dining experience. In many restaurants, these side dishes are served for free and can be refilled, embodying the spirit of Korean hospitality.
With increased global interest in Korean entertainment and cuisine, coupled with a rising curiosity about the country's rich food culture, On-Yasai aims to bring this authentic experience to Japan. The theme of the fair focuses on healthy and quality ingredients, celebrating the beloved Korean hot pot dishes and the vibrant banchan culture.

Haemul Jjigae (Seafood Stew)
This hot pot symbolizes the essence of Korean cuisine, featuring a harmonious blend of seafood flavors enhanced by spiciness. It’s not just about spice; it’s about indulgence in rich, succulent seafood.

Gomtang (Beef Bone Soup)
Gomtang presents a traditional approach with its milky-white broth, simmering beef and beef bones over hours to infuse a gentle flavor. On-Yasai refines the palate with a smooth finish, enhancing the natural tastes of the ingredientes while throwing in a clean aftertaste.
