JAPAN AI Introduces New Executive Team

In an exciting development for the tech community, JAPAN AI Corporation has officially announced the appointment of three new executive officers who will play pivotal roles in steering the company towards its vision. The newly appointed executives are Yuyan Lan, Kenji Ikeda, and Kaido Iida.

Profiles of the New Executives

Yuyan Lan – Chief Technology Officer (CTO)

Yuyan Lan's journey began after graduating from university, leading him to Japan where he joined Rakuten as a fresh graduate. Subsequently, he worked at Gree and contributed to SmartNews as an early member from 2016. Under his leadership, SmartNews rolled out its advertising platform, and Lan significantly aided the firm's growth into a unicorn through his expertise in large-scale distributed systems and machine learning. As of April 2025, he is taking on the role of Executive Officer and CTO at JAPAN AI.

Lan's Vision: "I am thrilled to build a new AI startup with a talented and energetic team in this rapidly evolving era of AI. I believe our technology and systems will aid Japanese companies in navigating the challenges of labor shortages and enhancing individual capabilities, allowing everyone to become ‘super individuals’ who create more value in the world. Kenji Ikeda – Chief Sales Officer (CSO)

Kenji Ikeda brings a wealth of experience in marketing and SaaS sales from various ventures and multinational companies. He has served as an executive officer at an internal EC vendor before joining Genie in December 2023. His contributions in launching and expanding the CX platform have been invaluable, and he is set to become the Executive Officer and CSO of JAPAN AI in April 2025.

With extensive experience in digital marketing consulting, Kaido Iida has held significant positions including COO and Chief Customer Success Officer. Since joining Genie in April 2023 as the CMO of GENIEE CVG, he has expanded the business and led various marketing divisions. As of April 2025, he will step into the role of Executive Officer and CMO at JAPAN AI.
