Syska Hennessy Group Expands Presence with New Office in Riyadh

Syska Hennessy Group, a prominent international engineering firm, has taken a significant step in expanding its operations by opening an office in Riyadh, the capital city of Saudi Arabia. The new office is situated in the prestigious Olaya Business Center on Al Olaya Street, placing it at the heart of one of Riyadh's most dynamic business districts. According to Kostas Tsekouras, the managing director of Syska's Middle East and North Africa (MENA) operations, the establishment of this office is a response to rapid growth in the region and will complement the existing Dubai office, which has been operational since 2012.

In recent years, Syska Hennessy has witnessed a substantial escalation in its workload across the MENA region, necessitating a more robust physical presence to better serve its clientele. Tsekouras highlights that having teams on the ground facilitates closer collaboration with clients, enabling them to implement the latest engineering advancements into projects such as hyperscale data centers, innovative office buildings, mixed-use developments, and aviation infrastructure.

Syska's illustrious client portfolio in Saudi Arabia includes industry giants such as Saudi Aramco, the Saudi Public Investment Fund, and the Saudi Telecommunication Company, among others. Cyrus Izzo, the president and CEO of Syska, emphasizes the firm’s longstanding commitment to the region, dating back to its involvement in the design of King Saud University in 1975. This project is notable for its expansive area, encompassing nearly 12 million square feet across three square miles, a testament to Syska's capability in handling large-scale engineering endeavors.
