Vantage Foundation and SOS Children's Villages Philippines: A Partnership for Hope

In a significant move to assist vulnerable children and families, Vantage Foundation recently announced its partnership with SOS Children's Villages Philippines. This collaboration aims to provide safe and family-based care for children who have lost their parental support or are at risk of family separation.

Founded in 1967, SOS Children's Villages Philippines operates a comprehensive network of programs dedicated to supporting at-risk children and strengthening families. The foundation's approach is centered around a family care model, where orphaned children or those whose parents are unable to care for them are placed in SOS villages. These villages consist of small family homes, each managed by an SOS mother who offers children the attention, love, and care similar to that of a biological family.

Children grow up in these homes alongside their biological siblings, when possible, and other children, receiving ongoing support from caregivers who serve as role models, providing emotional, educational, and psychological support. SOS Children's Villages ensures continuous and holistic care for children from a young age until they complete their education or training and transition into adulthood.

Through educational support programs, vocational training, scholarships, and career guidance, this NGO empowers youth with the tools they need to break the cycle of poverty, follow their dreams, and become future leaders and contributors to society. In January, members of Vantage Foundation visited an SOS village in Manila to witness firsthand the impact of the work done to support vulnerable children and youth.
