Erika Sawajiri Reflects on Embracing Change in Beauty Perspectives

ESIENCE: Erika Sawajiri's Journey with Beauty

The skincare brand ESIENCE, developed by Hugukumi Plus based in Hakata, Fukuoka, recently appointed popular actress Erika Sawajiri as its brand ambassador. To commemorate this partnership, a special interview with Sawajiri will be available on ESIENCE's official website starting June 9, 2026. The interview not only captures her reflections on beauty but also sheds light on her personal habits and philosophy regarding health and self-care.

Throughout her illustrious career spanning years, Sawajiri has continuously evolved both in her profession and personal life. The interview encapsulates her views on beauty as she navigates through life’s phases while aging gracefully. “I believe that change is an inevitable part of life. Yet, it’s crucial to remain true to oneself throughout these transitions,” explains Sawajiri. The actress embraces the changes that come with age and environment, emphasizing the joy in self-acceptance and self-exploration.

Insights on Beauty and Wellness

When asked about her evolving perception of beauty over the years, Sawajiri reflects, “In the past, I may have focused more on external appearances. While skincare remains important, I now realize the significance of inner strength through practices like yoga and Pilates.” This recognition of the interplay between physical wellness and mental stability has become central to her approach to beauty.

As for maintaining her beauty routine amidst her busy life, Sawajiri adopts practical measures to avoid overwhelming herself. “I make a conscious effort not to overexert myself. When I find the time to rest, I often rejuvenate by hiking or camping in nature, ensuring that I alleviate stress,” she shares.

Despite the inevitable changes that come with age, Sawajiri is committed to staying true to her essence. “Various transitions may occur due to age or circumstances. However, cherishing my authentic self is something I hold dear,” she states firmly.

Behind-the-Scenes and More

Alongside the interview, a behind-the-scenes making-of video will be revealed, showcasing Sawajiri's charisma during filming and the creative process behind the visual content. This exciting glimpse into her world will complement the interview, adding depth to her story and revealing her approach to both outer and inner beauty.
