New Community Space Opens in Takamatsu

The Takamatsu shopping district is set to unveil a vibrant new community space named 'Takamatsu Tokotoko'. This exciting initiative is spearheaded by the Takamatsu Oodori Shopping District Promotion Association and the Takamatsu Town Shopping District Promotion Association. Set on the ground floor of the WING Takamatsu, the space has been redesigned to enhance local engagement and encourage connections among residents of various ages.

Kitori, a local architectural firm known for its innovative designs, has been tasked with the renovation, which has won a special award at the Tachikawa City Shining Store Competition. The new space has transformed into a chic, inviting venue equipped with a kitchen, available for rent. This facility aims to serve as a versatile shared space, ensuring a community hub for a diverse range of activities and gatherings.

Before embarking on its full-scale operations, 'Takamatsu Tokotoko' will host a special opening event, inviting community members and guests to explore the newly revamped facilities. The details of the event are as follows:

- Time: 10:00 AM to 12:30 PM (Facility tours will be available until 2:00 PM)
- Schedule:

- 10:00 AM - 11:00 AM: Preview for guests and stakeholders
- 11:00 AM - 12:30 PM: Open event for general visitors
- Live performance by the Tachikawa Daini Middle School Wind Ensemble
- Demonstration by the Wadō-ryū Karate-Do Sato Dojo
- Performance by Kazuyo Yajima, piano harmonica instructor
- A special snack gift for the first 300 visitors
