CATL Opens Largest After-Sales Service Center for New Energies in Riyadh

CATL Launches Largest After-Sales Service Center in Riyadh

On January 10, 2026, CATL inaugurated its first and largest NING SERVICE Experience Center in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, aiming to enhance its after-sales services for new energy technologies in the region. This facility is currently the largest of its kind outside of China and plays a pivotal role in supporting the Middle East's transition to cleaner energy systems.

Supporting a Sustainable Future

The establishment of this center corresponds with Saudi Arabia's ambitious electrification and decarbonization goals outlined in Vision 2030. The Kingdom aims to electrify 30% of all vehicles in Riyadh by 2030 as a part of a broader strategy to cut emissions by 50% within the capital. Such sustainable development policies extend to increasing the use of electric equipment, promoting initiatives such as electric forklifts while advocating for green energy in agricultural operations.

However, the transition is hampered by enduring challenges, including a longstanding reliance on oil, a significant rise in electricity demand, harsh climate conditions, and limited charging and service infrastructure. To address these issues, the Riyadh center provides comprehensive after-sales support throughout the lifecycle of energy products, cultivates local technical talent, and accelerates the deployment of advanced electrification and energy storage solutions.

A Comprehensive Service Hub

Spanning over 7,000 square meters, the center includes exhibition areas, diagnostic and maintenance zones, refurbishment facilities, training spaces, and customer lounges. It is not just a localized service hub but also a showcase of CATL’s capabilities in electric mobility, energy storage, and smart electrification. As a platform connecting various stakeholders, it fosters industrial synergy across the regional ecosystem.

Incorporating CATL's extensive research and development and manufacturing capacities, the NING SERVICE Experience Center offers clients a full range of services, including battery diagnostics, repair, maintenance, refurbishment, training, recycling, logistics support, and storage. These services span seven key product categories, from passenger vehicles and commercial transport to energy storage systems, establishing a new benchmark for new energy service delivery in the Middle East.

Advanced diagnostics and repair expertise allow the center's comprehensive after-sales services to help customer businesses minimize downtime, cut maintenance costs, and extend asset lifespans, ensuring greater performance reliability and residual value, while also helping to lower total ownership costs and delivering more cost-effective and reliable services to end-users.

Building Local Capacity

The Riyadh center also serves as an integral part of CATL’s localized operations in the Middle East, focusing on talent development and long-term local value creation. With specialized training facilities, CATL is committed to building technical expertise and after-sales capabilities in the new energy sector, contributing to the creation of skilled jobs and knowledge transfer throughout the region.

Globally, NING SERVICE operates 10 training centers covering over 2,300 square meters and has certified more than 9,700 new energy after-sales professionals through partnerships with vocational education institutions.

Beyond talent development, CATL is deepening its localization strategy by enhancing local infrastructure and establishing partnerships within the ecosystem. The company is forging connections with key industry players, including fuel network operators to quickly supply green electricity to service stations and major infrastructure firms to electrify their truck fleets, as well as energy companies to deploy solar and storage solutions.

These initiatives are not only bolstering CATL's local capabilities and market confidence but also empowering crucial partners to jointly spearhead the widespread adoption of comprehensive new energy solutions in the region.

A Global Commitment

The opening of the Riyadh center strengthens CATL's global network, which includes over 1,200 professional service centers across 76 countries, along with 73 parts warehouses worldwide. As a leader in genuine parts availability, CATL boasts more than 370,000 square meters of warehouse space and has serviced over six million electric vehicles, providing professional after-sales services for passenger vehicles, commercial fleets, and energy storage clients.

Bruce Li, President of Quality Systems, After-Sales Operations, and Battery Management Services at CATL, highlighted that the Riyadh center signifies a long-term commitment to the region. “Our decision to establish this center isn’t just a business choice; it’s a long-term pledge. As the first NING SERVICE Experience Center in the Middle East, it stands as a new hub for the energy secondary market ecosystem, connecting cutting-edge technologies, vocational training, and industrial collaboration for deeper synergy and sustainable growth across the region.”

Moving forward, CATL pledges to continue expanding its after-sales service network throughout the Middle East, closely aligning with Saudi Arabia's Vision 2030 and supporting the region's energy transition through a reliable end-to-end service system. As the Middle East accelerates towards electrification and the adoption of energy storage, CATL's expanded presence through NING SERVICE is poised to deliver the technical reliability and sustainable partnerships critical for this transformation.
