Celebrating Two Decades of Excellence in Healing
givers Holdings, Inc. (CEO: Yasuhiro Aki), headquartered in Shinjuku, Tokyo, proudly marks its 20th anniversary in February 2026. As part of its celebration, givers has remodeled its corporate site and launched a dedicated page for its unique healing method, referred to as the
GIFT Method (https://seitai.co.jp/gift).
Why Now? The Decision to Publicly Share the GIFT Method
Since its inception as
kokoro Seikotsuin in February 2006, givers has expanded to over
165 locations nationwide with an impressive track record of more than
850,000 treatments provided. Over these years, the group’s revenue has surged from
1 billion yen to over
6 billion yen, and it has established a presence in Vietnam and Singapore. The cornerstone of this remarkable growth has been its proprietary
GIFT method, a therapeutic approach systematically developed through practical experience, reinforced by academic confirmation. This marks the first time givers is making the GIFT methodology available to the public, industry specialists, and the media.
What is the GIFT Method?
The GIFT Method is a comprehensive treatment approach that analyzes the root causes of physical discomfort from four different perspectives:
- - G: Gliding (Tissue Gliding) - Restores the sliding ability of fascia and interstitial tissues to regain smooth joint movement.
- - I: Inner (Deep Muscles) - Facilitates the recovery of deep muscle functions.
- - F: Form (Postural Dysfunction) - Evaluates and reconstructs postural issues and movement patterns.
- - T: Trigger (Trigger Points) - Identifies the sources of referred pain caused by muscle knots, improving overall comfort.
Central to the GIFT Method is the core technique known as
Deep Release. Unlike traditional techniques that apply strong pressure, this method emphasizes evaluating angles, directions, and pathways of force to create conditions for effective stimulation, gently targeting deeper tissues.
Furthermore, upon identifying the underlying causes, the GIFT Method incorporates three intertwined approaches:
Weak Muscle Correction,
Fascia Stretching, and
Spinal Function Enhancement, aimed at achieving immediate results and long-lasting improvements.
How GIFT Differs from Conventional Treatments
In contrast to typical massage therapies that aim to simply 'knead' or 'loosen' muscles, the GIFT Method focuses on creating optimal conditions for treatment through careful evaluation. Key distinctions include:
- - Approach: Rather than applying strong pressure, it designs conditions for effective treatment.
- - Treatment Sensation: Prioritizes gentle, effective stimulation instead of painful tolerances.
- - Sustainability: Focuses on creating lasting relief rather than temporary comfort.
- - Process: Develops hypotheses, tests them, and adopts only effective solutions.
Academic Foundation of GIFT
The GIFT Method was pioneered by Yasuhiro Aki, CEO of givers, who obtained a master's degree in Sports and Health Sciences from Toyo University. In 2025, he published a research paper in the international journal
PLOS ONE, examining the relationship between scapular asymmetry and shoulder pain. The GIFT Method is thus backed by both hands-on treatment experience and academic research.

CEO Yasuhiro Aki’s Remarks
"Twenty years ago, we started with just one clinic. Now, we have grown to over
165 locations nationwide, all due to our commitment to understanding pain origins and developing treatment tailored to patients' needs. The GIFT Method emerged from these two decades of experience, now backed by academic research, and we’re thrilled to share it publicly. We hope GIFT becomes a 'gift' for everyone suffering from physical discomfort."
