Open Campus 2026 at Musashino Art University
Musashino Art University, located in Kodaira, Tokyo, proudly announces the
Open Campus for its Department of Creative Innovation, taking place on
June 20 and 21, 2026, at the
Ichigaya Campus. This event is specifically crafted for prospective students considering admission to the Creative Innovation program, as well as their parents and educators.
The
Creative Innovation department was launched in April 2019 with the aim of fostering
creative thinking skills. This program emphasizes hands-on, project-based learning to tackle social issues and contribute to the creation of new values and businesses. Attendees will have the chance to engage with various activities such as presentations, workshops, and exhibitions that showcase the department's groundbreaking work.

The Open Campus is designed for those interested in creative fields, offering firsthand experience of how students interact with real-world challenges through partnership projects with local businesses and municipalities. In addition, the university will hold a
Graduate School Open Lab on June 20 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM, aimed at individuals considering further study in Creative Leadership.
What Makes the Creative Innovation Program Unique?
The program focuses on the identification of societal issues and the development of actionable solutions, making it distinct in its approach to education. The first two years are conducted at the Takadadai Campus where students develop foundational skills in arts education, presentation, discussion, and critical thinking. In the third year, they transition to Ichigaya Campus, participating in collaborative projects that combine design with innovative approaches to create impactful solutions.
