ZTE's 2026 Broadband User Congress in São Paulo Focuses on Intelligent Broadband Monetization
ZTE's 2026 Broadband User Congress: Monetizing Intelligent Broadband
On May 13, 2026, ZTE Corporation, a prominent global provider of integrated information and communication technology solutions, successfully hosted the Broadband User Congress in São Paulo, Brazil. This year's theme centered on Monetize Your Intelligent Broadband, attracting over 300 senior executives from internet service providers, operators, government entities, industry associations, and ecosystem partners across Latin America.
The congress aimed to address two critical needs: reducing costs in broadband networks and enhancing their efficiency, while simultaneously innovating home services. ZTE showcased a comprehensive suite of intelligent solutions designed for the monetization of broadband, tailored specifically to meet the diverse needs of the Latin American landscape. These innovative offerings enable operators and ISPs to break free from traditional connectivity-based business models, helping them increase Average Revenue Per User (ARPU) for fundamental network services, diversify their revenue streams, and redefine their competitive positioning within the industry.
Fang Hui, ZTE's Senior Vice President, gave a keynote address during the event, reflecting on the company's strong presence in Latin America for over 20 years, where it has executed hundreds of strategic projects, serving more than 100 million users in Brazil alone. He emphasized ZTE's commitment to promoting premium user experiences through technological innovation while generating new growth opportunities via partnerships. ZTE also aims to drive industrial transformation infused with artificial intelligence (AI).
The event provided an opportunity for ZTE to introduce innovative concepts for network management alongside an updated portfolio of products and solutions. This aligned the strategic vision of Monetizing Your Intelligent Broadband with practical, valuable business models ready for implementation.
When it comes to the development of operators' broadband networks, ZTE is dedicated to building high-quality networks customized for each client. For access networks, ZTE's FTTx solutions enable less barrier-prone network realizations with lightweight Optical Line Terminals (OLTs). These solutions integrate Customer Experience Management (CEM) powered by AI, which facilitates more accurate service quality analysis and targeted marketing efforts. Moreover, they expand opportunities in the B2B market with innovative products such as fully optical AI-based campuses and AI Interactive Flat Panels, balancing cost reduction with enhanced efficiency and growth in ARPU, ultimately generating new value from the networks.
For home broadband, ZTE leverages robust technological expertise and ongoing innovation in AI to ensure optimal Total Cost of Ownership (TCO). Core to this approach is the AI Wi-Fi 7 solution, which helps operators optimize TCO while allowing them to select the most suitable solutions based on specific advantages in specifications, coverage, and control of hardware and software, and overall supply chain management. Customized offering strategies empower operators to transcend pure price competition and build differentiated competitive advantages.
In the realm of value-added smart home services, ZTE's large models enhance capabilities for AI Operations Management (AI OM), AI cameras, and AI Smart View. These solutions create enriched home experiences by integrating intelligent control, fitness, entertainment, and security services, facilitating the transition from basic connectivity to high-value service offerings.
Focusing on smart operations, the SCP platform enables unified management of all connected devices, supporting remote diagnostics, one-click optimization, device theft detection, and targeted Value-Added Services (VAS) marketing. This platform aims to lower Operational Management (OM) costs, stabilize revenues, and assist operators in constructing sustainable monetization frameworks.
ZTE also provides ISPs with tools for revenue enhancement, facilitating more agile implementations and improved efficiency through convergent solutions. Light PON delivers a fast and cost-effective network realization, significantly lowering time-to-market and empowering ISPs to capture new opportunities swiftly. Light OTN, featuring a high-density design and simplified WebGUI management, supports 1.6T transmission on a single wavelength, enabling zero-touch deployment and plug-and-play activation, which collectively reduce implementation costs and operational complexity while ensuring optimal TCO.
In addition to the scenario-based solutions, the congress also highlighted three noteworthy partnerships. ZTE introduced a next-generation TV set-top box, marking a significant evolution in Brazilian digital television. In collaboration with MediaTek, ZTE presented Wi-Fi 7 and 10G PON solutions tailored for premium domestic and small-to-medium business applications, positioning operators strategically to attract high-value user segments. Finally, ZTE teamed up with Qualcomm to define the next generation of network infrastructure suitable for the AI era, combining Qualcomm’s AI-native Wi-Fi and Fixed Wireless Access (FWA) platforms with ZTE’s expertise in access and networking solutions.
Lu Maoliang, President of ZTE Brazil, underscored that Brazil is a key strategic market in ZTE's global development strategy. With 25 years of operations in Latin America, ZTE has provided services to over 100 operators and ISPs, implemented more than 60,000 kilometers of fiber optic infrastructure, reaching over 30 million households across the region. Lu mentioned how this congress directly responds to local customers' needs, aiming to not only deliver cutting-edge technologies and products but also to contribute to the sustainable commercial success of its clients.
Looking ahead, guided by the vision of Monetize Your Intelligent Broadband, ZTE will continue to strengthen its presence in Brazil and the broader Latin American market. By leveraging its full-stack technological capabilities in Connectivity and Computing, ZTE plans to collaborate with local operators and ecosystem partners to usher the evolution of intelligent broadband from network coverage expansion to a value-driven operational model. The company aims to foster a sustainable, high-quality growth trajectory for the regional communications sector and, together with partners, outline a new vision for the development of Brazil's digital economy.
