In an ambitious move towards enhancing urban mobility, Segway, a global leader in smart short-distance transport and robotics, has partnered with Dott, a European leader in shared micromobility, to unveil a brand new line of electric bicycles in Paris. Named the Urban B200, this innovative model promises to redefine the biking experience in one of Europe’s most iconic cities.

Launched on October 1, 2025, the Urban B200 is the result of a strategic collaboration designed to align with Dott's renewed four-year contract with the Paris city council. This partnership aims to bolster the city's commitment to sustainable transport solutions, responding to Paris' status as a global leader in urban mobility.

A Commitment to Sustainable Transport

With over 5.3 million bike journeys undertaken in 2025 alone and around 400,000 active users from the previous year, Paris has emerged as Dott’s most significant market. This latest release is part of Dott’s broader investment strategy, committing €10 million between 2025 and 2029 to expand its operational footprint, enhance service reliability, and accelerate the transition towards more environmentally friendly transportation modes. Innovatively Designed for Urban Life

The Urban B200 was developed through extensive collaborative efforts and engineering expertise from both Dott and Segway, integrating user feedback from Paris residents. Prior to the launch, a pilot program initiated in May 2025 provided valuable data that refined every aspect of the bike, from hardware integrity to integrated software. The result is a vehicle not only crafted for busy urban landscapes but one that is also adaptable for various cyclist needs.

A notable feature of the Urban B200 is its user-centric high-visibility display that provides real-time updates on battery life and system status. Additionally, an integrated torque sensor in the bicycle's pedaling system ensures smoother acceleration, responding intelligently to the cyclist's input. The bike’s design incorporates a sturdy, open front storage basket, enhancing practicality without compromising its maneuverability. It also includes fully covered fenders and a chain guard, protecting both the cyclist and the bike from wet weather—an essential feature for year-round commuting.

For user convenience, the bike also includes a flexible phone holder, allowing effortless access to navigation and communication while ensuring a safer riding experience. Operationally, the Urban B200 marks a significant leap in efficiency, featuring a 918 Wh battery that enables up to 120 kilometers of range on a single charge. This significantly decreases the frequency of battery swaps and ensures high availability during peak usage times. With a mere 0.9 W standby power consumption, the bike can hold a charge for up to 42 days when not in use, further optimizing logistics and operational costs.

Older models will be redistributed to other cities, ensuring their longevity and adherence to both companies’ sustainability commitments.
