SheaMoisture Collaborates with Fifteen Percent Pledge for 10-Year Fellowship Celebration
SheaMoisture Marks 10 Years of Empowering Women Entrepreneurs
SheaMoisture has proudly unveiled the opening of applications for the 2025 Dartmouth Fellowship, commemorating a decade of impactful initiatives that empower women entrepreneurs. Teaming up with the Fifteen Percent Pledge, the brand aims to further enhance the reach of the Fellowship by co-recruiting entrepreneurs from diverse backgrounds.
Since its inception in 2015, the Dartmouth Fellowship has played a pivotal role in fostering economic growth and supporting over 100 women entrepreneurs through tailored education and resources provided by Dartmouth College’s Tuck School of Business. This partnership not only celebrates a significant milestone but also underscores the core values of both SheaMoisture and the Fifteen Percent Pledge, which promotes accessibility and equity within the entrepreneurial landscape.
Obinna Keke, SheaMoisture’s Chief Brand Officer, expressed the brand’s unwavering commitment to community support, stating, "In today’s challenging economic landscape, the importance of uplifting small businesses cannot be overstated. Our collaboration with Aurora James and the Fifteen Percent Pledge is a testament to this commitment, expanding our shared vision to bolster the success of emerging businesses."
The Fifteen Percent Pledge, co-founded by Aurora James in 2020, is dedicated to advancing economic equity by increasing visibility and opportunities for underrepresented entrepreneurs. James shared her excitement about the collaboration, noting that it marks a new milestone in their mission to foster growth for emerging businesses.
The Dartmouth Fellowship provides a comprehensive framework where selected entrepreneurs can assess their business performance and receive education on essential topics such as finance, marketing, and cash flow management. Participants can expect to engage in the program's Building A Successful Business course, hosted at Dartmouth, which will cover crucial aspects needed to navigate the challenges of entrepreneurship.
The program has proven to have substantial positive effects on its participants, with past data showing an average profit margin increase of 6% and a notable revenue growth rate of 14.3%. By the end of the initiative in 2025, the Dartmouth Fellowship will have benefitted over 100 entrepreneurs, providing essential business education and support.
With the opening of the 2025 application period on September 18, 2025, SheaMoisture welcomes women entrepreneurs from the U.S. and Canada to apply for this transformative opportunity. The selection process will involve ten chosen from open applications, along with ten additional entrepreneurs selected by Fifteen Percent Pledge and other notable industry leaders.
The initiative is structured to provide invaluable networking opportunities, paving the way for sustained growth and innovation among participants. As SheaMoisture continues to lead in various beauty categories globally, its commitment to community upliftment remains strong, reinforcing the importance of supporting entrepreneurs and minority-owned businesses.
