Chrysler Celebrates 100th Anniversary with Pacifica Special Edition and Historic Vehicle Drive

Chrysler Celebrates 100 Years of Innovation

Chrysler recently marked a monumental occasion as it celebrates a century of contributions to the automotive industry. Festivities kicked off in Detroit at Belle Isle, where the brand brought together historic vehicles and introduced the 2026 Chrysler Pacifica 100th Anniversary Edition. This event not only allowed attendees to witness the evolution of Chrysler’s engineering marvels but also provided a unique opportunity to drive some of the brand's iconic models.

Historic Showcase

The historic vehicle drive featured a remarkable collection of Chrysler cars, spanning decades of innovation from the 1924 Chrysler Six to contemporary models like the Pacifica Plug-in Hybrid. Among the classic cars showcased were the 1934 Chrysler Airflow and the 1963 Chrysler Turbine, both pivotal in underscoring Chrysler's legacy in automotive design and engineering.

Chrysler Brand CEO Chris Feuell, alongside Chief Design Officer Ralph Gilles and Chrysler Historian Brandt Rosenbusch, elaborated on how the brand has consistently led with innovation through challenges and changes in the automotive landscape. “Chrysler’s 100th anniversary is truly a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity,” stated Feuell. “Reflecting on our history, we see how Chrysler has been synonymous with progress, constantly pushing the boundaries of automotive excellence.”

The Pacifica 100th Anniversary Edition

Alongside the celebration of its history, Chrysler introduced the new 2026 Chrysler Pacifica 100th Anniversary Edition. This edition commemorates the Pacifica as the most awarded minivan ever while boasting a range of new features and enhancements. Key upgrades include unique design elements such as a rear wing badge decal reading “Est. 1925,” stylish Luster Gray polished wheels, and semi-gloss Granite Crystal accents on the fascia and grille.

The Pacifica 100th Anniversary Edition offers practical amenities for families, such as a 10.1-inch Uconnect touchscreen compatible with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, along with Stow 'n Go seating, and power sliding doors. Buyers can choose from three appealing colors—Red Hot, Bright White, or Hydro Blue—and select from front-wheel drive or all-wheel drive variants. Prices start at $44,390 for the standard model.

The Pacifica is designed with safety and convenience in mind, featuring options such as a 360-degree surround-view camera system and Blind-Spot Monitoring, making it an ideal choice for modern families. The Pacifica Plug-in Hybrid version, a pioneering offering in the segment, achieves impressive fuel efficiency numbers while also providing electric-only driving capabilities.

Looking to the Future

As Chrysler celebrates its centennial, the brand looks forward to a bright future with plans for exciting new releases, including a refreshed Chrysler Pacifica, and other models inspired by innovative concepts. Key events for the anniversary continue, including a group photo of over 1,500 employees at the Chrysler Technology Center on June 5, which will also include the dedication of a time capsule celebrating Chrysler’s history.

This commitment to its rich heritage and future innovation reflects Chrysler's ongoing dedication to providing compelling solutions and family-oriented vehicles that meet the changing needs of consumers. The centennial celebration also serves as a reminder of the important legacy left by founder Walter P. Chrysler, whose vision continues to influence the brand today.
