Hajime Construction Launches Innovative Family Home "i-HUG" Set for Release in September 2025

Hajime Construction's New Family Home: i-HUG

Hajime Construction, a core company of Iida Group Holdings, has announced plans to launch a new family-oriented housing product called "i-HUG" in September 2025. This innovative home is specifically designed to maximize the time families can spend together, responding to the evolving lifestyle needs of contemporary households.

The Concept Behind i-HUG

As dual-income households become increasingly common, modern parenting is often a juggling act of household chores, childcare, and work responsibilities. This busy lifestyle has led to a demand for homes that offer more than just space and affordability; families are looking for properties that facilitate ease of domestic tasks and encourage communication among family members. Recognizing this shift, Hajime Construction has embraced the motto of creating homes that prioritize family time, starting the development process in October 2023. After nearly two years of research and design, which incorporated feedback from potential buyers and homeowners, the i-HUG is ready to make a debut.

Unique Features of i-HUG

The design of i-HUG is meticulously tailored to the lifestyle of the modern family, emphasizing practical layout and efficient living spaces. An extensive survey of 3,520 households has informed multiple aspects of the home, fine-tuning key elements like the kitchen layout, storage solutions, flow between spaces, and age-appropriate usability for children.

Key Highlights

1. Efficient Household Flow: i-HUG integrates energy-saving pathways for daily chores. The kitchen is strategically connected to the laundry area for convenience, reducing daily stress with direct access to a wash area that is separated from the entrance.

2. Functional Living Space: The home features a spacious Living, Dining, and Kitchen (LDK) area, complete with ample storage solutions that allow families to access daily items quickly and easily.

3. Superior Quality at Lower Costs: All units meet the highest standards for structural safety and insulation, achieving a seismic grade of 3 and an insulation grade of 5. Despite these premium performances, Hajime Construction has managed to keep costs down through efficient mass production techniques.

4. Family-Centric Innovations: The design incorporates ideas gathered from families, including spacious entrances, independent wash areas, visible kitchen spaces, and wall-mounted whiteboards that contribute to an engaging environment as children grow.
