From October 29, 2026, to April 4, 2027, Yomiuri Land will host its iconic 'Jewel Illumination 2026', marking its 17th season of this mesmerizing light festival. This year, the grand theme is 'LIGHT is LOVE', which emphasizes the deep connection and love we share with people, nature, and our planet.

New Theme: Growing Light

The sub-theme for this season is 'Growing Light', shining a spotlight on the treasure that is our planet's greenery. This event will beautifully illustrate the vitality of plants as they sprout, grow, and spread their leaves, all through innovative light displays and spatial arrangements. Additionally, after a two-year hiatus, the illumination featuring new green jewel colors symbolizing concepts like 'growth', 'vitality', 'harmony', and 'healing' will make a triumphant return.

A Unique Experience Awaits

This year brings exciting interactive experiences, especially at the popular 'Grand Sanctuary' inside the WAI pool area. Guests will have the opportunity to walk through the dazzling light sculptures, creating memorable photo opportunities like never before. Developed by Motoko Ishii Lighting Design, the Jewel Illumination festival started in 2010 and utilizes LED lights that reflect the brilliance of jewels. While combining the concepts of jewelry and illumination, the event showcases a rare experience that perfectly marries dazzling lights with the stunning nighttime skyline of Tokyo.

New Attractions This Season

1. Jewelry Grand Object: The iconic 'Sky-Go-LAND' ferris wheel, referred to as the 'Jewelry Grand Object', will be lit up with 14 jewel-like colors on the eastern side, representing a brilliant cut diamond, while the western side will convey themes of romance and kindness through gold and pink hues.
2. Jewelry Promenade: A magical light-lit pathway stretching 180 meters, adorned with illuminated trees to create a beautiful gradient that captures the essence of light.
3. Crystal Passage: An immersive jewel-themed light tunnel of approximately 140 meters, enhancing the spirit of growth and vitality with its colorful display.
4. Jewelry Stream: Reflecting the theme 'Growing Light', a centerpiece object in the pool area transforms the ambiance into a vibrant and lively experience.
5. Luxury Wall: The wall in the Good Job Area will showcase a design inspired by dappled sunlight, represented through overlapping jewel hues.
