Join the 3rd Beyond SDGs Public-Private Conference Forum to Shape Future Goals

3rd Beyond SDGs Public-Private Conference Forum

The 3rd Beyond SDGs Public-Private Conference Forum, organized by the Beyond SDGs Council (Chairman: Kenji Kaneko, Professor at Keio University), will take place on July 3, 2026. This forum serves as an important platform for interim reporting on discussions toward recommendations for international objectives beyond 2030.

As the deadline for achieving the SDGs approaches in 2030, discussions worldwide continue on the implementation of these goals. However, alongside these efforts, conversations have also begun regarding the formulation of international targets for the period post-2030, grounded in lessons learned and challenges faced so far.

Morning Plenary

The morning session will feature a plenary discussion from 10:00 AM to 12:30 PM, where attendees will share updates on the discussions happening across various subcommittees as well as the latest trends related to Beyond SDGs efforts, supplemented by input talks regarding the direction of activities and support mechanisms moving forward.

Afternoon Subcommittees

In the afternoon, from 1:30 PM to 5:30 PM, participants will engage in subcommittee discussions structured around six entry points outlined in the UN's Global Sustainable Development Report (GSDR). The discussions will employ a common framework focusing on four critical areas: 1) Recognition of current challenges, 2) Vision for desired societies, 3) Framework of goals, and 4) Means of realization and governance, aiming to define societal visions and international goals beyond 2030.

Participation Call

Currently, we are seeking participants for both the plenary and subcommittee sessions. We welcome anyone interested in post-2030 societal visions and a sustainable future, including representatives from government, businesses, research institutions, civic organizations, and students.
