Coleman and Tokyo Summerland Collaboration



The Newell Brands Japan LLC Coleman Division, led by President Yutaka Nakazato and based in Minato, Tokyo, is announcing the second chapter of its collaboration with Tokyo Summerland, located in Akiruno, Tokyo. This seasonal partnership aims to elevate the pool experience for the summer season of 2026.

Building on the successes of last year, this collaboration addresses the record-breaking heat that Japan experiences during summer. At the heart of this initiative is Coleman's innovative light-blocking technology, Dark Room Technology, designed to enhance comfort and safety in large outdoor facilities like leisure pools. The collaboration will expand the use of Coleman products, creating comfortable shaded areas, enlarging rental seating options, and establishing shaded spots for safety throughout the park, all aimed at improving summer enjoyment.

Details of the Initiative



1. Expansion of Coleman Rest Areas



The second phase of this collaboration will see an expansion of the Coleman Rest areas where visitors can relax. New elements will include the installation of the Party Shade Light 300+, creating a cool, comfortable space under the dark room technology. The area will transition from merely a brief respite to an inviting retreat designed to help visitors relax and refresh. Particularly in outdoor pool areas, these shaded spaces will allow guests to spend extended periods comfortably away from direct sunlight, enhancing overall leisure experiences.

- Outdoor Pool Area: Beaver Seating (20 seats), Conifer Seating (8 seats) - new additions
- Indoor Pool Area: Stage Seating (6 seats), Stage DX Seating (4 seats) - not in dark room areas

2. Introduction of Dark Room Technology Across the Park



In addition to the paid seating areas, Coleman will implement dark room technology across various locations in the park, including queue areas for attractions. This
