H& by POOL Launches New Fall-Winter Collection for 2025

H& by POOL's 2025 Fall-Winter Collection

IDÉE, operated by Ryohin Keikaku Co., Ltd. based in Bunkyo, Tokyo, has unveiled the first installment of the 2025 fall-winter collection for its brand, H& by POOL. This innovative line capitalizes on leftover fabrics, threads, and scraps sourced from production facilities, bringing forth high-quality clothing that embodies the spirit of Japanese craftsmanship and creativity aimed at enhancing the quality of life.

The first drop of the collection will be available from September 12, with a second drop following on October 14, at all IDÉE shops, online, and at Muji in Kichijoji. Additionally, a pop-up store at Isetan Shinjuku will operate from October 8 to October 13, showcasing exclusive items crafted for this event, alongside the new collection offerings.

Highlights of the Collection

This season, the focus is on an extensive range of knitted garments that have been popular in previous collections. Expect to find a variety of soft, high-gauge sweaters, lightweight mohair options packed with air for added warmth, and vests perfect for layering. A new coat made from tightly woven cotton fabric—combining warmth and durability—also joins the collection this time around.

Here’s a closer look at some standout pieces:

1. Stand-Up Collar One-Piece

This elegant shirt dress features a classic stand-up collar design. It is highlighted by delicate gathers that create a beautiful A-line silhouette. The small white shell buttons along the chest add a stylish touch. Its medium length ensures it can be worn on various occasions with ease.

2. High Gauge Sweater

Knitted from super fine merino wool that is even finer than the extra fine merino sourced from Australia, this sweater is processed to be washable, providing a luxurious and soft texture against the skin. With its draped fit, it lends an elegant impression whether worn alone or styled in various ways.

3. Front Gathered One-Piece

This dress boasts dramatic gathering at the front, giving it a distinctive A-line shape that offers a timeless feel. Notably, a shell button accent graces the back of the neckline, enhancing its appeal.

4. Coat

This coat features a silhouette that flares out toward the hem and loosely designed armholes, allowing for easy layering over thicker clothing. Created from tightly woven cotton, it combines warmth with resilience for a sophisticated look.

5. Mohair Sweater

Knitted from mohair-blended yarn, this sweater is designed to be airy and lightweight, boasting a rounded silhouette reminiscent of a balloon. It embodies a gentle aesthetic perfect for cozy wear.

The POOL Initiative

Since its inception in 2015, IDÉE has been actively managing the POOL initiative, which transforms production waste like scraps and leftover materials into valuable clothing and goods. Collaborating with various companies and creators, they produce items ranging from handkerchiefs and pouches to room shoes and socks, all under the guidance of renowned designer Akira Minagawa from minä perhonen. This effort aims to prevent valuable resources from going to waste and supports sustainable production methods.

Conclusion

H& by POOL’s 2025 fall-winter collection not only showcases aesthetically appealing designs but also promotes a responsible approach to fashion. By utilizing surplus materials from textile production, the brand highlights the know-how of local artisans while providing consumers with unique and high-quality clothing options. Customers are encouraged to act quickly, as each piece is produced in limited quantities.
