Exciting Opportunities at RSA Conference 2025
The
RSA Conference 2025, one of the most prominent events in the cybersecurity sector, has officially opened submissions for its highly anticipated
20th Annual Innovation Sandbox (ISB) competition along with the
Fifth Annual Launch Pad contests. Both events play a crucial role in spotlighting innovative startups working on revolutionary security solutions.
A Legacy of Success
Since its inception in 2005, the RSAC Innovation Sandbox has served as a launchpad for promising young companies in the cybersecurity realm. Participants in the contest stand to gain significant recognition and investment opportunities. In fact, over the past 19 years, companies that have competed as Top 10 Finalists have collectively secured more than
$16.4 billion in investments and engaged in over
90 merger and acquisition transactions. Notably, several previous finalists, including
Imperva,
SentinelOne, and
Reality Defender, have gone on to achieve great success in the industry.
Alongside the Innovation Sandbox, the Launch Pad contest provides an additional platform for newer, less-established companies that are eager to present their bold ideas to an audience of venture capitalists. This year, submissions to both contests will remain open until
February 14, 2025, at 8 p.m. PT, with Finalists being announced in early April.
New Investment Program
In a significant development for this year's contest, each of the Top 10 Finalists will receive a
$5 million investment to further encourage innovation in cybersecurity. This new investment program marks an exciting evolution in the ongoing commitment of RSA Conference to support the growth and success of startups. According to
Paul Kocher, a judge at the RSAC ISB and a notable figure in the industry, the Innovation Sandbox is a fantastic event that drives fresh technology to market and offers entrepreneurs a chance to showcase their work to the right audience.

To be eligible for the RSAC Innovation Sandbox contest, companies must adhere to specific criteria:
- - The product must have launched between December 1, 2023, and February 14, 2025.
- - It must address a recognized issue in the cybersecurity landscape.

- - Products need to be validated through client testing or purchasing.

Judging Process
After the submission period closes, received entries will undergo a thorough review by a global panel of judges consisting of seasoned entrepreneurs, investment specialists, and cybersecurity professionals. The ten finalists will be announced by mid-March 2025 and will get the chance to present and pitch their ideas at the conference scheduled for
April 28, 2025.
Enriching Innovation Ecosystem
Alongside these contests, RSA Conference will also host the
Early Stage Expo, featuring
68 emerging startups and the
Next Stage, which showcases an additional
10 growing companies that deliver new technologies. These offerings present unparalleled opportunities for networking and collaboration within the cybersecurity ecosystem.
