Experience the Daikanyama Soryosai Festival 2025
The charming and colorful district of Daikanyama, located in Shibuya, Tokyo, will host the
Daikanyama Soryosai 2025 festival from September 20 to September 28. As it enters its fourth year, this festival is organized by the Daikanyama Shopping Association and the Soryosai Executive Committee, bringing together a spirited community celebration themed
'TSUNAGU' (to connect). This year’s event focuses on kindness, aiming to forge stronger connections among people, the local community, and the future.
Festival Highlights
During the festival, attendees can enjoy a variety of vibrant activities designed to spark joy and connection.
Enichi Days
On September 20, 21, 27, and 28,
Enichi Days will feature unique stalls and food trucks from local artisans and businesses, alongside workshops and entertainment. Expect delightful experiences that promote community engagement and connection. These special activities will run from
11 AM to 6 PM on the first weekend and from
11 AM to 8 PM on the second weekend.
Mini Fireworks Competition
A highlight of the festival, the charming
Mini Fireworks Display, will take place on
September 27 and 28 from 4 PM to 7:40 PM. This event is designed to create memorable moments as colorful fireworks light up the evening sky, perfect for families and friends looking to create lasting memories together.
Engaging Events
Throughout this festival, the Daikanyama Tsutaya bookstore will provide engaging talks and exhibitions, allowing visitors to slow down and reflect on culture and creativity. Events include accolades for local brands and a special talk show to celebrate various disciplines, including a conversation with notable architects and designers.
Commitment to Sustainability
In a significant commitment to sustainability, the festival will feature the
P-FACTS uniforms worn by staff, which promote environmental awareness. This initiative is part of a circular infrastructure developed by Piekurex to recycle apparel and continuously foster community engagement toward eco-friendliness.
Exploring Circulation Society
Collaboration with various stakeholders, such as
Shonan Trading and
Ripples, illustrates the festival's dedication to a circular economy. Engaging with local schools, students are involved in upcycling projects, creating unique items from recycled materials to promote a sustainable future.
Every festival event embodies the spirit of creating happiness while promoting responsibility towards our environment and community. By merging enjoyment and sustainability, attendees can participate in a festival that is as much about the experiences shared as it is about the connections forged.
