Axar Capital Expands Leadership Team with David Brisske

In a strategic move to enhance its leadership capabilities, Axar Capital Management has announced the appointment of David Brisske as Co-Managing Partner, effective May 7, 2026. This decision reflects the firm’s commitment to navigating the complex landscape of the U.S. middle market. Based in the firm’s New York office, Brisske will closely collaborate with CEO Andrew Axelrod and Co-Managing Partner Grant Mitchell, taking responsibility for overseeing the firm’s day-to-day operations and investment strategies.

David Brisske brings over two decades of invaluable experience in investing and advising on private equity-owned companies. His prior role at SKKY Partners as Managing Director allowed him to contribute significantly to the Investment and Management Committees. Additionally, Brisske serves on the Board of Directors of TRUFF and 111SKIN, showcasing his diverse industry engagement. Before his tenure at SKKY, he led the North American Branded Consumer investment effort at Permira and was part of investment teams at Irving Place Capital and Thoma Bravo.
