Their innovation has transformed the lives of individuals suffering from Leber congenital amaurosis, a rare inherited retinal disease, providing them with a path to recovery and independence. In addition, Rosa Rademakers and Bryan Traynor independently identified the most common genetic cause of amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS) and frontotemporal dementia. Mathematics and Physics Prizes



The mathematics community celebrated Frank Merle's advancements in nonlinear evolution equations, which describe dynamic systems like waves and fluids.
