Chaos Zero Nightmare Unveils Third Chapter: Secrets of the Forbidden Catalyst

Exciting Update for 'Chaos Zero Nightmare'

On December 26, Smilegate Megaport announced a thrilling update to their rogue-like RPG, 'Chaos Zero Nightmare', featuring the release of Chapter 3 of Season 1, titled 'Forbidden Catalyst'. This season, known as Galactical Disaster, is crafted to run on a nine-week schedule with new storylines, characters, and specific contents revealed every three weeks. With the launch of Chapter 3, the season heads towards its grand conclusion, shedding light on the pivotal events and character choices that define the story.

In Chapter 3, the ongoing conflict involving Yuki and Chizuru takes a dramatic turn, gradually unveiling the true nature of the season's primary theme, the 'Forbidden Catalyst.' The deepening narrative intricately weaves together newly introduced characters and world settings, enhancing the overall depth of the Galactical Disaster storyline.

New Characters and Gameplay Mechanics

One of the highlights of this update is the introduction of a new season fighter, 'Seleneel', and a seasonal partner, 'Pekko'. The warrior Seleneel utilizes a specialized buff called 'Afterglow' to deal impressive damage and boasts a unique ability where, upon defeat, she can reposition homing lasers from the graveyard back into her hand for a follow-up attack.

Additionally, partner Pekko enhances the damage output when the assigned fighter's cards are moved from the graveyard back to hand, synergizing effectively with Seleneel. Together, they offer players a reinforced strategic dimension in battles.

Expanded Seasonal Content

Accompanying this third chapter update, the seasonal content will also expand. The 'Great Rift' ranking content progresses into its latter half, featuring confrontations with increasingly powerful bosses. Moreover, the third supply line of the seasonal shop opens, providing players with rewards that can be used to develop fighters and enhance deck-building versatility.

Additionally, a new currency called 'Spectral Cube' is introduced. Players can earn these cubes after collecting the maximum number of a ★5 fighter and acquiring the same fighter again. These cubes can be exchanged in shops for various growth items such as memory codes, prism modules, and prism lenses, enriching the gameplay experience.

Moreover, a global illustration contest for 'Chaos Zero Nightmare' is set to take place on the popular illustration community platform, Pixiv.
