The IC12E: A Breakthrough in Public Transport

On June 19, the IC12E embarked on a challenging test journey that spanned four countries—Germany, Denmark, Sweden, and Norway. Starting in Hamburg, it traversed through urban streets, highways, bridges, and coastal roads, effectively showcasing its performance in a variety of driving conditions.

During this trial, the bus covered a remarkable distance of 1272 km, achieving an energy consumption rate of just 0.7 kWh/km under a partially loaded state. The test results highlighted the IC12E's exceptional efficiency in utilizing new energy technologies.

One of the significant findings was the bus's performance in a 510 km test route between Germany and Denmark, where the state of charge (SOC) dropped from 99% to 31%, leaving a residual range of 170 km. Furthermore, the charging test demonstrated swift recharging capabilities, elevating the SOC from 13% to 99% in just 1 hour and 40 minutes using a single charger.

U12: The Premium Urban Electric Bus

In addition to the IC12E, Yutong presented the U12, a premium electric bus designed for major city routes. This 12-meter bus can transport up to 95 passengers and is distinguished by its high-strength, robust chassis and YESS battery system, which combines safety with efficiency, comfort, and intelligent operation. The U12 has also recently received the prestigious Busworld Design Label, underscoring its design excellence.
