Furniture China 2025: A Record-Breaking Success

The 30th edition of Furniture China, held from September 10 to 13, 2025, at the Shanghai New International Expo Centre (SNIEC), alongside the Maison Shanghai event, concluded with remarkable achievements that underline its status as a premier global platform for design and innovation in the furniture and lifestyle sectors.

Under the compelling theme of "BEYOND NEXT," the expo offered an impressive overview of the latest trends in global design and trade, attracting a record-breaking total of 163,527 visits over the five days. The event drew attendees from 174 countries and regions, marking a significant increase in international recognition, with 32,618 foreign visitors—a 13.9% rise compared to the previous year.

Expansive Exhibition and Participation

This year's furniture showcase encompassed a massive exhibition area of 350,000 square meters, featuring over 3,200 exhibitors, including manufacturers of finished furniture, material suppliers, and smart production sectors. Significant exhibits included the Outdoor and Garden Furniture Pavilion and the FMC China initiative, focusing on sustainable, high-quality manufacturing in the industry.

Furniture China and Maison Shanghai cemented their positions as leading hubs for furniture and lifestyle trades by merging purchasing power with innovative design, reflecting the global shift towards sustainability and quality.

Maison Shanghai, held at the Shanghai World Expo Exhibition and Convention Center (SWEECC) from September 9 to 12, represented an astonishing expansion with over 800 design-oriented brands showcased across four themed zones. Among the highlights was the H3 Design Highland Pavilion, which attracted wide attention from industry leaders, media, and buyers, setting new benchmarks for design-focused exhibitions.

In total, Maison Shanghai welcomed 47,077 visitors from 136 countries, reflecting a staggering 55.6% increase in attendance. The number of international guests surged by 123% year-over-year, indicating a growing global appetite for innovative design and cultural exchange. The exhibition introduced elements of lifestyle design and cultural creativity, bolstered by more than 100 forums and events that emphasized the significance of innovation, heritage, sustainability, and East-West exchange, including prestigious awards such as the Gold Idea Design Award and CREDAWARD.

Digital Expansion and Year-Round Business Opportunities

To further enhance the exhibition experience and connectivity beyond the physical event, Furniture China introduced a digital platform through the DTS FurnitureChina APP. This app facilitates year-round business operations by matching partners using AI technology, providing access to exhibitor catalogs, and ensuring seamless communication among stakeholders.

Looking Ahead: An Invitation to the Global Design Community

As Furniture China 2025 wraps up, the organizers express heartfelt gratitude to all exhibitors, partners, and visitors who contributed to this milestone event's success. They warmly invite the global furniture and design community to reconvene in Shanghai (Pudong) for the next iteration scheduled for 2026.
