DXYZ to Showcase Face Recognition Platform in Disaster Drill in Kameoka City

DXYZ Performs Face Recognition ID Demo in Kameoka

As part of its commitment to merge digital and real-world solutions, DXYZ Corporation, a subsidiary of Migalo Holdings, is set to introduce its pioneering face recognition ID platform, FreeiD, during the Kameoka City Comprehensive Disaster Drill scheduled for September 6, 2025. This event aims to prove the efficiency of a system where individuals can use facial recognition for quick check-ins at evacuation centers, enhancing the accuracy and convenience of information management in emergency situations.

The Motivation Behind FreeiD

DXYZ’s FreeiD platform provides a one-time facial registration method, encapsulating the motto, "Connect the world with just your face." This facial recognition service extends beyond simple check-ins, including functionalities for entering and exiting buildings, payment processes at stores, and identity verification at theme parks and public services.

The integration of FreeiD into the disaster drill addresses significant challenges faced by traditional methods. Previously, evacuations involved lengthy steps of manually recording information on paper and then sending that data via fax to headquarters, leading to delays in real-time decision making during crises. FreeiD aims to reduce these bottlenecks effectively and enhance the visibility of evacuation information through interactive dashboards.

Improving Evacuation Procedures

One of the pressing issues at evacuation centers has been the management of evacuees through daily written records. Often, evacuees leave without completing these processes, leaving gaps in data that could hinder efficient emergency response in secondary disasters. DXYZ’s face recognition system simplifies the check-in process, allowing evacuees and administrators to alleviate some of the burdens associated with emergency shelter living.

Moving forward, DXYZ envisions a world where individuals can live safely and securely without needing keys, wallets, or smartphones - a concept they refer to as "Face Up, Face the People." This initiative reflects their dedication to contribute to disaster preparation and mitigation measures.

Overview of Kameoka's Disaster Drill

The Kameoka City Comprehensive Disaster Drill will occur from 6:30 AM to noon on September 6, 2025, featuring a variety of training exercises:

- Note: Real-time check-ins will not be executed in this drill due to timing overlaps with other trainings.
2. Site Training: FreeiD facial recognition check-ins will replace traditional record-keeping practices.
- Exercises include opening training sessions led by community-based disaster prevention teams:
- Oi Town Disaster Prevention Team: 8:30 AM - 9:00 AM (Oi Elementary School Grounds)
- Minami Tsutsuji Gaoka Disaster Prevention Team: 8:30 AM - 11:00 AM (Minami Tsutsuji Gaoka Community Center)

Collaborative Efforts with Kameoka City

DXYZ has actively participated in Kameoka City’s Innovation Field Verification Support Project, which began in 2022, resulting in several initiatives, including:
  • - 2022: Introduction of a child monitoring facial recognition service.
  • - 2023: Implementations of facial recognition access to skyboxes, citizen services via My Number cards, and face recognition payments.
In 2025, DXYZ will support a Business Challenge Program focused on creating business ideas addressing local issues in Kameoka, including the demonstration of the face recognition check-in service.
