Celebrate the 5th Anniversary of Tokyo 2020
The details of the
Tokyo 2020 Olympics and Paralympics 5th Anniversary Event have been finalized, and we invite everyone to join the festivities!
On May 28, 2023, the event was officially announced, aimed at bringing the community together through various exciting activities led by Olympic athletes. From hands-on sports experiences to engaging talk events, there's something for everyone!

Event Highlights
Participants can experience a variety of sports, including:
- - Sport Climbing
- - Wheelchair Basketball
- - Lacrosse
Alongside these competitions, there will also be:
- - Athlete-led demonstrations and experiences
- - A series of talk events featuring some of your favorite athletes
- - Meet and greet sessions with the official Tokyo 2020 mascots, Miraitowa and Someity
- - Immersive content using XR technology to enhance engagement
- - Exhibition of Tokyo 2020 memorabilia, including medals and the Olympic torch

Tokyo 2020 5th Anniversary Stamp Rally
In addition to the anniversary events, a
Stamp Rally will take place within the Tokyo Metropolitan Government Building, featuring an exhibition of Tokyo 2020 archives. Visitors can collect stamps at various stations and receive commemorative gifts for completing the rally!
- - Dates: July 23 - August 7, 2023 (Please note, activities on July 25 and 26 will be unavailable due to space closure)
- - Locations: Tokyo Metropolitan Government Building, First Main Building (Central Exhibition Space, North Exhibition Space, North Observation Room)
Commemorative Lighting
To mark the 5th anniversary, significant landmarks such as the Tokyo Metropolitan Government Building and various sports facilities will be illuminated in the colors of the Olympic rings on July 23, coinciding with the anniversary of the Tokyo 2020 opening ceremony. Don’t miss this unique opportunity to experience these special lights!
