Discover the Beauty of Nature at Kurihama Flower Park
Starting today, the
Kurihama Flower Park in
Yokosuka City, Kanagawa Prefecture, opens its gates to the largest cosmos flower field in the
Miura Peninsula. Spanning approximately 1.8 hectares and featuring around
1 million cosmos blooms, the park is a bloom lover's paradise. This stunning scene will remain open for free until
November 24 (Monday, a national holiday).
After experiencing extreme heat and storms over the summer, this year’s blooming season is slightly delayed, making it a perfect destination for families and photography enthusiasts. The flowers are notably shorter this year, allowing children to appreciate the beauty up close. Additionally, there are designated photo spots for capturing memories with your pets among the flowers.
The
Cosmos Garden features gentle slopes that give visitors a sense of depth while offering picturesque views of Kurihama town in the distance. At the moment, the flowers are about
10-20% in bloom, expecting to reach their full beauty by mid-November.
Exciting Events Await
Mark your calendars! On
November 23 (Sunday) and
24 (Monday), the park will host its annual
Free Flower Picking Event. Guests can gather cosmos flowers that are past their prime, making this a highly anticipated event each year. Don’t miss your chance to take home these beautiful flowers!
Please note that the bloom times may vary with weather conditions, so it’s best to check the latest updates on the park's website or social media before your visit.
