Enhanced Leadership Team Fuels Momentum

In February 2025, CleanSpace appointed Nicholas Vermont as the new Chief Operating Officer (COO). His extensive background in operational process optimization positions him to spearhead efforts to enhance efficiency and scalability in the company’s operations. Alongside him, Brian Bennett was promoted to Executive Vice President (EVP). His new role involves steering the company’s sales strategy and long-term market positioning, enabling CleanSpace to better align with industry demands.

Strengthening CleanShield Services

To bolster its commitment to exceptional standards, CleanSpace has further developed its CleanShield service division. In April 2025, Robert Griffith was appointed as the Chief Strategy Officer, steering the strategic growth of CleanShield, which specializes in post-construction services. He brings over 30 years of experience in sterile pharmaceutical facility management to the role. Also stepping into a leadership position is Mike Wieffering, the new Vice President of CleanShield, whose impressive career includes over four decades of experience in cleanroom project delivery.

Recognizing the need for a dedicated base for its CleanShield division, CleanSpace has established a national headquarters in Ferndale, Michigan. This location not only features a client showroom but also a technical workshop area, positioning CleanSpace to enhance its service delivery. The Ferndale hub will be instrumental in offering critical services such as commissioning, qualification, validation (CQV), maintenance programs, emergency response, technical documentation, and workforce development. This initiative aims to effectively bridge the gap between construction turnover and GMP operations, allowing for swift service responses nationwide.

Advancing Preconstruction Excellence

To solidify its preconstruction capabilities, CleanSpace appointed Julie Tareco as Vice President of Preconstruction in July 2025. Tareco's wealth of experience spanning 28 years in MEP systems and project handoff processes will improve CleanSpace’s efficiency in estimating, planning, and scope development. Her leadership is anticipated to create a clearer pathway from project inception to successful delivery.
