Pegatron 5G Revolutionizes Private Networks with Industry Partners at MWC 2025

Pegatron 5G Unveils Innovative Private Networks at MWC 2025

Pegatron 5G made a significant impact at the Mobile World Congress (MWC) 2025, showcasing a suite of advanced O-RAN 5G products aimed at optimizing private networks. With a diverse array of demonstrations including the RedCap Dongle and Camera, Pegatron's efforts reflect a commitment to enhancing enterprise connectivity through low-latency solutions.

Industry Collaboration

Appearing alongside renowned partners such as Qualcomm Technologies, Radisys, and HMS, Pegatron's General Manager, CY Feng, expressed excitement about their comprehensive suite of 5G features and devices. These innovations are designed to meet the evolving needs of industrial enterprises seeking to harness the power of private networks.

During the event, Pegatron demonstrated the capabilities of their end-to-end network using the innovative 'Muscat' camera—integrated with the Snapdragon® X35 modem—and the MD200 5G adapter. Qualcomm's Vice President, Gautam Sheoran, praised the introduction of these affordable devices, recognizing it as a crucial step towards making advanced 5G capabilities more accessible.

Low Latency Network Solutions

One of the hallmark features presented by Pegatron was a live demonstration of low-latency 5G networking, accomplished through a collaborative effort with VIAVI. By implementing optimization techniques including the 'Themis' scheduler developed in-house, Pegatron was able to showcase significant reductions in both latency and fluctuation, meeting the rigorous demands of modern industrial applications.

David Hoelscher, Pegatron 5G's VP of Product, highlighted their focus on satisfying the specific latency challenges faced by industries. He noted extensive partnerships with Radisys and Metanoia to ensure robust performance measures, along with VIAVI's innovative testing solutions, aiming to expedite market readiness.

Layer 2 PDU Demonstrations

Another pioneering element demonstrated was a Layer 2 Protocol Data Unit (PDU) over 5G, exhibiting wireless transport of the Industrial Ethernet protocol PROFINET through HMS Networks' Anybus communicator. This breakthrough is expected to elevate traditional factories towards becoming more agile and wireless, effectively spearheading the transition to Industry 4.0.

Henrik Arleving from HMS Networks emphasized the importance of robust collaboration among key industry players to deliver such unprecedented solutions. The integrated approach combined Pegatron’s RAN with Qualcomm’s Dragonwing™ FSM200 and Radisys’ core optimizations, driving the development of state-of-the-art 5G private network infrastructures.

Network-in-Radio Technology

Additionally, Pegatron showcased the PNW-2400, a Network-in-Radio solution that merges small cell computing with an optimized 5G core. Utilizing the latest in NXP technology, this model efficiently addresses challenges surrounding power, cost, and size for private networks, providing a transportable and easy-to-deploy option, especially in remote areas.

Radisys expressed enthusiasm about enhancing the PNW-2400, integrating their low-power software to optimize connectivity for maritime, emergency, and disaster relief communications in challenging environments.

Comprehensive Product Offering

As part of their commitment to delivering cutting-edge solutions, Pegatron 5G presented a wide array of products designed for various applications within the 5G framework. Their comprehensive lineup included radios, servers, edge computing solutions, and versatile management options for private networks.

In conclusion, Pegatron 5G's presence at MWC 2025 highlights an industry-driven approach to expanding the capabilities of private networks. Their demonstrations not only spotlight innovative products but also emphasize the collaborative spirit necessary for advancing technology in the rapidly evolving landscape of telecommunications.
