Celebrating Excellence: The Meiho Award 2025 Honors Outstanding Employees

On November 14, 2025, the Meiho Enterprise Group held the coveted Meiho Award 2025 at the Westin Tokyo. This annual event, dedicated to recognizing the outstanding contributions of employees across its six companies, signifies commitment and achievement in the realm of real estate development. Meiho Enterprise, established in 1968 and headquartered in Meguro, Tokyo, is a publicly listed developer known for its high-quality construction of over 200 new investment rental properties, primarily focused in the 23 wards of Tokyo.

The award ceremony was a remarkable gathering, attended by approximately 180 participants, including employees from the parent company Meiho Enterprise and its subsidiaries, such as Meiho Properties, House Saison Enterprise, and Meiho Engineering. Each year, the event celebrates the hard work and dedication of staff through a variety of awards designed to highlight exceptional performance. This year, a total of ten awards were presented to recognize excellence in several categories.

Noteworthy among the presenters were esteemed sports figures. Professional tennis player Ayano Sonoda presented the Newcomer Award to Yuuya Sasaki, who achieved significant success by securing a contract just two months after joining the company. Additionally, former professional baseball player Ryota Igarashi presented the Best Developer Award to Moku Ogawa, who secured the highest number of land purchasing contracts within a year.

Ayano Sonoda expressed her admiration for Yuuya's achievement, noting the challenges faced by beginners in any professional field: “It's truly commendable to excel in your first year. I resonate with your efforts, and I hope you continue to thrive and outpace your peers.” This sentiment reflects the competitive spirit shared between athletes and professionals in the business world.

Moku Ogawa, who received the Best Developer Award, was acknowledged for successfully closing five contracts in her department, illustrating the significant contributions she made in land procurement. This recognition emphasizes the company's commitment to excellence and the hard work of its employees.

During the event, a roundtable discussion was led by Chairman and CEO Mitsuru Yabuki, along with the presidents of all six group companies. Topics included reflections on the success of the event and ambitions for the future. Yabuki remarked on the inaugural ceremony held the previous year and how positively it resonated within the company and with external guests. He expressed hopes for making this recognition an annual tradition.

When asked about the ambitious mid-term plan aiming for tenfold profit increase over eight years, he stated, “Our approach involves a vertical integration strategy, where we handle every aspect from land procurement to management and sales. The goal is to penetrate not only the domestic market but also expand our presence internationally, leveraging our new base in Taiwan.”

The establishment of a local subsidiary in Taiwan in December 2024 is part of the group’s strategy to solidify its reputation and trust in various Asian markets. The leadership aims to gradually expand while focusing on establishing reliability in Taiwan as a cornerstone for future growth.

In a further discussion on the construction market, the executives noted rising material costs and ongoing labor shortages but reported optimistic strides in efficiency and cost management measures, particularly under stable partnerships with suppliers. Shinji Sakamoto, President of Meiho Engineering, discussed their specific projects that have retained budget integrity while delivering high-quality outputs, demonstrating the firm's adaptability in a challenging economic climate.

Ultimately, the Meiho Award 2025 not only highlighted the talents and achievements of individuals within the organization but also reinforced the group's commitment to growth, excellence, and innovation in the real estate development sector. As it continues to enhance its operational capabilities and explore new markets, the future looks bright for the Meiho Enterprise Group.
