Free People Hosts 'Feels Like Free People: A Summer Social'
On July 11, 2026, Free People is excited to host an unforgettable event titled "Feels Like Free People: A Summer Social" at Marine Parade Grounds in Philadelphia's vibrant Navy Yard Park. This community gathering promises a delightful combination of music, food, and film, showcasing what makes the Free People brand truly special.
Designed to be a family-friendly affair, attendees can look forward to an array of food trucks offering delicious options for purchase, ensuring that no one goes hungry! Alongside the culinary delights will be a DJ spinning eclectic tunes, creating the perfect atmosphere for socializing and enjoying the day outdoors. In addition to the food and entertainment, various lawn games will be set up, inviting guests to participate in some friendly competition while soaking in the summer sun.
One of the highlights of the event is a special screening of the family-friendly documentary "Cookie Queens," which follows the heartwarming journey of four ambitious girls as they strive to become top cookie sellers. This film, which is partially funded by Free People's Creative Spirit Fund, showcases the talent and determination of young creators. The screening is scheduled to begin at 7:15 PM and runs for approximately 90 minutes.
The Creative Spirit Fund is a noteworthy initiative by Free People, aimed at supporting independent creators and promoting diverse storytelling. In partnership with the Sundance Institute Documentary Film Program, Free People has granted $25,000 to five female documentary filmmakers for their works in progress, ensuring that fresh voices are heard. Among the recipients is filmmaker Alysa Nahmias, who is recognized for her commitment to impactful storytelling.
Guests should also keep an eye out for various giveaways and photo opportunities throughout the event, creating memorable moments to capture and share on social media. Free People encourages attendees to engage with their online community by using event-specific hashtags and tagging the brand.
Tickets for this engaging event are priced at just $5 for adults, with children aged 15 and under granted free admission. All proceeds from ticket sales will be donated to the Sundance Institute Documentary Fund, which supports the development and production of vital documentary films. There is also an option for attendees to make additional donations at checkout to further support this important cause.
