A New Chapter for Kushikatsu Tanaka: Rebranding Initiative
As Kushikatsu Tanaka celebrates its 18th year since opening its first location in Setagaya, the company is poised for a significant transformation. With changing consumer preferences and the evolving dining landscape, Unisia Holdings, the parent company headquartered in Shinagawa, Tokyo, is embarking on a large-scale rebranding effort. This initiative aims to preserve the cherished elements of the traditional 'kushikatsu tavern' while elevating the dining experience to meet contemporary expectations.
Background of the Competition
Kushikatsu Tanaka has garnered affection as a beloved public tavern over its nearly two-decade-long journey. However, to ensure it remains a favorite in the decades to come, the restaurant must take a bold leap forward. It is essential to build on the strong heritage of Kushikatsu Tanaka while broadening its horizons to reach the next level.
To achieve this aim, the company has decided to involve external creativity through a design competition. The essence of this challenge is to collaborate with innovative designers who can infuse fresh ideas into the restaurant's concept, thereby encapsulating a new vision for Kushikatsu Tanaka.
