New Asia Forum Aims for $30 Billion Investment at Bali Launch

New Asia Forum: A New Era of Investment

The New Asia Forum is an ambitious new initiative set to take place on December 3-4 in Bali, Indonesia. This inaugural event aims to attract a remarkable $30 billion investment, targeting opportunities within the rapidly evolving economic landscape of Asia. Under the esteemed patronage of His Excellency Prabowo Subianto, the President of Indonesia, this forum is expected to serve as a global platform that connects essential stakeholders and highlights strategic partnerships for long-term investments across the region.

Created by Danantara Indonesia, Indonesia's sovereign investment fund, and organized by Richard Attias Associates, the forum's mission is to become a crucial gateway for fostering connections among capital, economic opportunities, and policymakers driving progress. With Asia-Pacific generating nearly 60% of global economic growth (as per the IMF projections for 2025), there is a stark need to attract a fair share of long-term international capital, which the New Asia Forum aims to accomplish.

The Shift in Economic Paradigm

As the economic center of gravity shifts, a new generation of vibrant economies is emerging across Asia. These economies are not only interconnected and technologically ambitious but also increasingly focused on investment-driven growth capable of self-financing their own future. The New Asia Forum seeks to close the funding gap by pivoting from traditional investment conferences to a model that emphasizes transaction readiness and effective capital deployment.

With the forum's ambitious target in place, it will feature a curated pipeline comprising investment-ready opportunities across eight strategic sectors. These sectors include:

1. Strategic Resources and Downstreaming
2. Energy and Power
3. Mobility and Advanced Manufacturing
4. Digital Infrastructure and AI
5. Food and Agribusiness
6. Trade and Connectivity
7. Tourism and Creative Economy
8. Education and Human Capital

Building a Sustainable Future

One of the main goals of the New Asia Forum is not just attracting investments but ensuring accountability and sustainability through ongoing commitments tracking. This initiative will serve as a continuous platform designed to foster partnerships and investments in the long run. Rosan Roeslani, the CEO of Danantara Indonesia, emphasizes the importance of bringing long-term global capital closer to the burgeoning opportunities in Indonesia and the wider Asia region.
