Keikenchi App Introduces Data Transfer Feature for Seamless Device Upgrades

Introduction to Keikenchi

For travelers wanting to document their journeys across Japan, Keikenchi stands out as a unique app that tracks experiences in all 47 prefectures. Recently, the app has introduced an essential update (version 5.1.13) that supports data transfer during device upgrades. With this feature, users can seamlessly carry over their accumulated travel data to their new devices.

What’s New?

On August 26, 2026, Qdan Inc., headquartered in Musashino, Tokyo, rolled out updates to Keikenchi, enhancing its user experience significantly. The update includes a premium feature that allows users to transfer their data easily when changing devices. Previously, users faced the risk of losing their records during upgrades, and this innovation addresses that concern head-on.

Using a simple code issued on the old device, users can transfer their maps and points just by entering it into their new device. The first month of the yearly plan is free, allowing users to transfer and then cancel without incurring any charges. For those who prefer a one-time purchase, there’s also a buyout option available.

Key Features of the Update

  • - Seamless Transfer: Users can maintain their travel history without needing an account, as Keikenchi stores records locally. This new feature preserves this design while adding a transfer function through a unique code.
  • - Initial Free Month: Users opting for the annual plan at 1,800 yen get the first month free to complete their transfer.
  • - No Charges for Recipients: Only the device issuing the transfer code needs the premium feature; the receiving device remains free.
  • - Payment Flexibility: Three payment options are available — a monthly plan at 240 yen, an annual plan at 1,800 yen (first month free for new users), and a one-time buyout at 5,400 yen.
