Sooup Consulting Celebrates 10 Years with the 8th Annual Sooup Yushun Special at Kochi Racecourse

The 8th Annual Sooup Yushun Special: A Celebration of Community and Racing

On July 4th, Sooup Consulting, a prominent management and back-office support firm based in Toshima, Tokyo, will host the 8th annual "Sooup Yushun Special" at the Kochi Racecourse. This event marks a significant milestone as it represents the company's 10th anniversary celebration, showcasing its deep-rooted connection with the local community and love for horse racing.

A Legacy of Support at Kochi Racecourse

The Sooup Yushun Special has a legacy that dates back over nine years. Founded in 2017, the event was initially conceived by the company’s CEO, Hirotoshi Wada, who aimed to uplift Kochi Racecourse, his hometown. For the years 2017 to 2024, the race was sponsored as an individual initiative; however, with this year being the 10th anniversary of Sooup Consulting, the race is now proudly sponsored as a corporate initiative.

Past Winners of the Sooup Yushun Special

Here’s a look back at the previous winners of this prestigious event:
  • - 1st Edition: December 10, 2017 - Meisho Yupiteru
  • - 2nd Edition: December 2, 2018 - Kikuno Glade
  • - 3rd Edition: December 1, 2019 - Tohsho Pride
  • - 4th Edition: December 6, 2020 - Alji
  • - 5th Edition: January 18, 2022 - Meisho Kanki
  • - 6th Edition: January 9, 2023 - Kirino Kenryu
  • - 7th Edition: December 21, 2024 - Ukiyo no Yome

Wada’s dedication to celebrating Kochi’s horse racing tradition was kindled during his childhood. The Kochi Racecourse was always a significant part of his life, and despite the ups and downs faced by various local racecourses over the years, including the introduction of night races in 2009, Wada felt compelled to contribute to its revival. This prompted him to initiate the individual sponsorship of racing events in 2017.

A Special Promotion at Kochi Racecourse

In addition to the race, a promotional booth for Wada's book, "What Happy People Think About," will be established at Kochi Racecourse. Visitors who purchase the book will receive exclusive gifts, including limited-edition snacks. The promotional material, including a video trailer, will also be showcased during the event. Wada will attend the award ceremony and invites everyone to join him at the racecourse to support local racing.
