OrthoArizona's New Orthopedic Center Opens in Glendale

OrthoArizona, recognized as the largest physician-led orthopedic group in the Southwest, has proudly unveiled its latest flagship location - a state-of-the-art $25 million orthopedic center in Glendale, Arizona. Located at 9070 W. Glendale Ave., the expansive 50,000-square-foot facility is strategically positioned adjacent to Westgate and the iconic State Farm Stadium. This center aims to provide comprehensive musculoskeletal care, all under one roof, thereby streamlining patient experiences from initial consultation to full recovery.

Dr. Rajan Bhatt, the chief executive officer of OrthoArizona, highlights the center's significance, stating, "Since 1994, OrthoArizona has grown by staying close to the communities we serve, and Glendale is the clearest expression of that yet." This sentiment underscores the organization's commitment to not only expanding its footprint but also prioritizing community engagement and support. The center combines several essential services including an on-site ambulatory surgery center, physical therapy, and advanced imaging capabilities, such as MRI, all aimed at enhancing the patient journey.

The Glendale location represents a vital addition to OrthoArizona's multi-site expansion initiative that has gained traction since Dr. Bhatt took the helm as CEO in late 2024. Alongside the Glendale opening, OrthoArizona has also introduced an advanced imaging center in Scottsdale and a comprehensive center in Verrado, as well as committing $12.1 million to modernize existing facilities throughout the Phoenix metro area. Notably, the Deer Valley center is set to undergo significant enlargement, doubling in size from roughly 12,000 to nearly 26,000 square feet. In total, the organization has expanded its clinical space by approximately 77,000 square feet since Dr. Bhatt's leadership began.

The integrated model wherein clinics, imaging, surgery, and therapy coexist in one building not only streamlines the recovery process but also fosters collaboration among surgeons and therapists, forming a cohesive team that supports each patient’s individual needs.

The demand for comprehensive orthopedic care in Arizona is gaining momentum, propelled by the state's demographic trends. Arizona currently boasts a population where more than 19% are aged 65 or older—a figure anticipated to rise to 22% by 2035. Furthermore, the health care sector has emerged as the state’s largest and fastest-growing employment sector, contributing to one in every three new jobs created in Arizona, according to the Arizona Office of Economic Opportunity.
