How Raytron Microelectronics' Advanced Thermal Imaging Modules Revolutionize Industrial Intelligence at SENSOR+TEST 2026

Transforming Industrial Intelligence with Raytron Microelectronics' Imaging Modules at SENSOR+TEST 2026

Raytron Microelectronics is making waves at this year’s SENSOR+TEST 2026, taking place from June 9 to June 11 in Nuremberg, Germany. Their exhibit (Hall 1, Stand 1-616) highlights an exceptional lineup of high-performance infrared camera modules aimed at revolutionizing industrial applications. These advanced imaging solutions are specifically designed for original equipment manufacturers (OEMs) and systems integrators to seamlessly incorporate thermal imaging, short-wave infrared (SWIR), and gas optical imaging technologies into their automation, predictive maintenance, and intelligent inspection systems.

Addressing Size and Power Constraints

For OEMs that design thermal cameras for electrical inspections, size and power limitations have historically posed significant challenges. Raytron rises to this occasion with its ultra-compact thermal imaging modules. Notably, their TC2-C series presents a miniature thermal module, measuring merely 13.2 x 13.2 x 8.7 mm and weighing just 2.5 grams. Supporting MIPI, DVP, and USB interfaces, this module facilitates smooth integration into inspection systems for printed circuit boards and portable devices.

From Embedded Monitoring to Large-Scale Industrial Inspection

At the opposite end of the spectrum, Raytron’s SE5 1280 series is designed specifically for large-scale industrial inspections, delivering exceptional imaging performance via a 1280 x 1024 sensor housed in a compact 29 x 29 mm package. Utilizing a second-generation ISP chip and shutter-less technology, this module offers fluid thermal imaging at 50 Hz, making it ideal for drone-based utility inspection, photovoltaic system monitoring, and infrastructure assessments.

Beyond Thermal: Expanding Industrial Intelligence

To truly transform industrial intelligence, Raytron is expanding the capabilities of its thermal modules beyond long-wave infrared. For instance, the SWIR camera NS-615AS-10GE operates at a frequency of 825 Hz via 10GigE, enabling it to decode the chemical signatures of transparent plastics such as PP, PE, PET, and PVC. This advancement turns waste sorting chaos into a precise, millisecond-level science. Simultaneously, the cooled OGI module Photon C330H achieves ultra-sensitive NETD of ≤ 12 mK in a compact 460-gram housing, visualizing invisible methane leaks and volatile gases for prompt environmental compliance.

Accelerating Time to Market

Raytron Microelectronics positions itself not just as a hardware provider but as a long-term technology partner. According to the Director of R&D, their offerings include open SDKs, flexible lens options, and dual-lighting solutions designed to help OEMs expedite development and reduce market entry timelines.
