GAC Expands Product Line in Morocco with New Energy Vehicles and GOVY AirCab Debut

GAC Expands Product Line in Morocco

On September 24, 2026, GAC, in partnership with M-AUTOMOTIV, hosted an event in Casablanca titled "The Future Lands in Morocco." This launch celebrated the introduction of three new energy models: the GN8 PHEV, HYPETEC HT, and HYPETEC SSR, alongside the first African appearance of the GOVY AirCab. Over 600 attendees gathered to witness this significant milestone, further enhancing GAC's offerings in Morocco.

The event's purpose extended beyond merely introducing products; GAC is actively expanding its portfolio in Morocco to cater to various segments and mobility needs. Earlier in July, GAC had launched three SUVs—the S7 PHEV, EMKOO HEV, and EMZOOM. With the recent additions, GAC now boasts a diverse lineup that includes new energy MPVs, advanced intelligent pure electric SUVs, and high-performance electric supercars.

Among the stars of the launch, the GN8 PHEV enriches the MPV segment with an impressive combined range of over 1,000 km, making it ideal for families and businesses alike. The HYPETEC HT, featuring stylish gullwing doors and a pure electric range paired with cutting-edge technology, showcases GAC's commitment to premium quality. On the performance front, the HYPETEC SSR boasts an astounding 1,225 horsepower, accelerating from 0-100 km/h in just 1.9 seconds, solidifying GAC’s image as a performance leader.

GAC's product range now accommodates diverse mobility needs in Morocco, ranging from Internal Combustion Engines (ICE) to Hybrid Electric Vehicles (HEV), Plug-in Hybrid Electric Vehicles (PHEV), and Battery Electric Vehicles (BEV).

The launch event creatively adopted the concept of “The GAC Terminal,” transforming the venue into a futuristic mobility space that featured product displays, interactive technology, and engaging experiences. Attendees experienced the GOVY AirCab, which represents GAC's venture into low-altitude mobility, aiming at short-range urban travel, scenic tours, and the future of urban air mobility. This experience was further enhanced by a drone light show, laser displays, and music performances.

Morocco serves as a strategic hub for GAC, located at the intersection of Africa and Europe. During the event, Wang Feng, Vice President of GAC International, and Souhail Houmaini, General Manager of M-AUTOMOTIV, addressed the audience, outlining GAC's ambitions and collaborative strategies. M-AUTOMOTIV, as GAC's exclusive importer, plans to broaden the sales and service network across key Moroccan cities including Casablanca, Tangier, Rabat, Agadir, and El Jadida.

As GAC continues to innovate and adapt its offerings to meet local demands, the expansion in Morocco stands as a testament to its commitment to enhancing mobility solutions within the African market. To learn more about GAC, please visit GAC Group Website or follow GAC on social media platforms.
