World Subtitle Exhibition in Tokyo: Enhancing Inclusivity at Deaflympics 2025

Leveraging Aisin's innovative speech recognition system, the "YYSystem," over 100 sites in Tokyo—including the athlete's village, transportation hubs, beauty salons, hotels, shops, cafes, and more—will be equipped with this cutting-edge technology.

One of the highlights of the exhibition is the introduction of a new mapping application named "YYMaps." This app will allow users to easily locate areas where the YYSystem is operational, ensuring convenient access to real-time captioning and translation services. Furthermore, the exhibition will feature various interactive events that are designed to enrich the experience of participants and promote the spirit of the Deaflympics throughout Tokyo.

Aisin first showcased the YYSystem during the "World Subtitle Exhibition" held in Harajuku from May 12 to 18, 2023. This event involved deploying the system in various establishments within the Harakado shopping complex, facilitating real-time transcriptions, expressions of sounds and atmospheres, and multilingual translations for international visitors. The initiative aimed to enhance communication across diverse scenarios, especially for those with hearing impairments.

Through the World Subtitle Exhibition, Aisin emphasizes the importance of building a supportive and inclusive society where no one feels left out.
