Five Group Announces Charitable Donations for Victims of Kumamoto Earthquake

Five Group’s Support Initiative for Kumamoto Earthquake Victims

On July 28, 2026, Kumamoto was struck by a devastating earthquake, and in response, Five Group, known for its mission to create a world connected by fun, has pledged support for the affected individuals. Under the leadership of President Kenji Sakamoto, Five Group, based in Musashino, Tokyo, along with its associated companies, B-Class Gourmet Institute and Pancho, announced a charitable initiative to donate proceeds from their ongoing charity menu for August 2026 to the disaster relief efforts.

The selected donation recipient is expected to be the official relief fund setup by Kumamoto Prefecture, ensuring that the contributions directly aid those in need. Following the aggregation of the donations collected throughout August, the precise amount will be disclosed along with the completion of donation procedures, showcasing the commitment of Five Group to transparency and community support.

Commitment to Continued Support

From August 1 to August 31, 2026, Five Group will contribute between 20 to 50 yen from each charity menu item ordered at its restaurants. This initiative, which typically supports various social issues such as providing meals for children, has been adjusted in light of the recent disaster. All funds accumulated during this period will be directed exclusively toward recovery efforts for the victims of the Kumamoto earthquake.

No changes in meal pricing or additional fundraising requests from customers will take place; the existing charity menu structure will remain intact. The only alteration is the redirection of collected donations, highlighting the corporation’s agility and readiness to support urgent community needs.

Ongoing Commitment to Community Initiatives

Five Group has long incorporated community connection into its dining experience, utilizing the charity menu as a platform for outreach and support. Over the years, the company has engaged in numerous donation initiatives, from supporting children’s cafeterias to assisting organizations that address various social issues. In previous disasters, they have promptly recalibrated their giving, exemplified by the contributions heading to support victims of the Noto Peninsula earthquake in 2025.

This current initiative aims to contribute valuable resources to the affected as part of ongoing efforts to rebuild lives and restore the regional economy. The timeline for donations runs throughout the month of August, with a complete reporting of amounts collected and allocated expected to be published on Five Group's website, ensuring that stakeholders are kept informed about the impact of their contributions.
