GCL SI Unveils Revolutionary Technologies at Intersolar Europe 2025, Paving the Way for Solar Innovation

GCL SI Shines at Intersolar Europe 2025

In May 2025, Munich became the epicenter of the solar energy industry as it hosted Intersolar Europe 2025. This prestigious event saw GCL System Integration (GCL SI) making a significant impact by showcasing a variety of groundbreaking technologies and comprehensive solutions that underline its position as a leader in solar innovation. GCL SI's advancements not only promise enhanced solar energy efficiency but also contribute to global decarbonization efforts through state-of-the-art products offered at competitive prices.

Highlights of GCL SI's Innovations

Among the remarkable new technologies presented, GCL SI introduced its granular silicon—an innovation that transforms the solar manufacturing process. Unlike traditional silicon pieces that require extensive energy, GCL's granular variant is produced using an advanced Fluidized Bed Reactor (FBR) technology. This innovative approach increases productivity while reducing carbon emissions by 42%, certifying a significant decrease in the product's carbon footprint. Its spherical shape facilitates smoother transport and handling while ensuring high purity for downstream modules, marking a crucial step toward achieving grid parity.

The GPC2.0 module series made its debut in Europe, boasting an impressive 660W power output and an astonishing 27.5% cell efficiency. Utilizing TOPCon 2.0 passivation, a 0BB design, and silver-free metallization, the GPC2.0 series reduces total costs by 28%. Additionally, it achieves an industry-leading temperature coefficient of -0.25%/℃, making it resilient against shading and dust—ideal for commercial rooftops and agrivoltaic systems.

GCL SI is also at the forefront of perovskite solar technology, revealing two world records at the event: a single-junction perovskite module measuring 2,048 cm² with a stable efficiency of 22.43%, and a tandem perovskite/silicon module exceeding 28.06% efficiency, both certified by the National Institute of Metrology of China. These breakthroughs signal a new era of solar solutions with efficiencies surpassing 30% due to GCL's strategic partnerships worldwide.

Tailored Solutions for Every Scenario

At Intersolar, GCL SI emphasized its commitment to providing tailored solutions for various solar applications. Whether for large-scale power plants or residential systems, GCL SI designs optimize land use and maximize energy yield across diverse terrains and climates. Their customized commercial PV systems aim to lower energy costs and accelerate companies' green transitions. Innovative solutions such as solar carports for energy storage, marine PV networks, zero-carbon campuses, and AI data centers illustrate GCL’s comprehensive offerings.

Global Recognition and Commitment to Sustainability

GCL SI's excellence was reaffirmed with numerous accolades, including its position in the BNEF 2024 Global PV Module Bankability TOP10, continuous Tier 1 Supplier recognition from 2021 to 2024, and a silver medal at EcoVadis 2025 for outstanding ESG performance. These honors highlight GCL SI's reliability, manufacturing excellence, and dedication to environmental standards.

In line with its commitment to carbon neutrality, GCL SI participated in the ‘Next Era’ forum alongside industry leaders to discuss solar trends and launch its SiRo Carbon Chain Platform—a holistic carbon management system encompassing raw materials, production, and application. This initiative signifies GCL's dedication to promoting a low-carbon transformation of the solar industry.

Intersolar 2025 served as a platform for GCL SI to reaffirm its philosophy of prioritizing innovation, quality, and customer-centric services. With continuous technological advancements and cross-sector collaborations, GCL SI is poised to drive the solar revolution toward a future marked by accessibility and sustainability.
